Over 600,000 people have seen the Supra we build featured on YouTube Drive Networks (Link). Since the car was featured the owner chose to do some further updates to the car including the installation of a new built engine to replace the factory 3.0L 2JZ. We have just recently completed our 3.5L Stroker kit and found this balanced street car the perfect home to install such a powerplant. The 62mm turbocharger was a bit small for the 3.5L displacement but was left on the car for a back to back comparison over the 3.0L. The dyno graph below was done with the same boost levels as the car previously had and just minor tuning to compensate for the added displacement. The horsepower increases were great, however the real impressive figures are the torque increase (652hp / 596tq!). Both of these graphs were produced using 93 Octane fuel, the result is one of the most fun all around street builds we’ve done in a while. A slightly larger turbo and higher octane fuel could provide an even deadlier combination with the displacement increase and would prove to be a great option for those using their 2JZs on the road course.
We’ve shipped cars and parts all around the world for over a decade, however occasionally we get a request that is a bit outside our normal radar. This particular GTR was one such case, arriving at our door with nothing but delivery miles on the odometer the owner was looking to upgrade his newly purchased GTR before it was exported to his home country, of South Africa. He was quite happy with the GTR’s performance, but wanted it a bit sportier, and like most was not impressed with the factory interior options. We’re always up for a good challenge, and with a quick turnaround time we were able to delivery upon the owners wishes before handling the logistics of making sure the car arrived to South Africa in the same perfect condition it arrived.
he interior was completely dismantled and all panels wrapped with a high grade italian leather. The owner was happy wanted the interior to look factory just with finer materials. All panels including the rear factory plastics were carefully recovered in the same leather with gray stitching to provide contrast. The headliner was also upgraded with a Alcantara being the material of choice putting this GTR on the same level as its european competition.Anyone who opens the door and gets a quick smell of that fine italian leather knows this GTR interior is like no other.
The exhaust was upgraded to a Speed By Design mid pipe and catback exhaust section, however with strict laws in his home country the Titanium tips were swapped out for factory units to help the car fly under the radar. A Cobb access port tune helps make the most out of the exhaust upgrades and improve shifting with new shift algorithms installed as well.

The Titan dry sump kit is the product of our years of development on the 2JZ engine platform. Traditionally something only possible for 2JZ full chassis cars, we took the time to engineer a complete kit that allows the same technology to be used in a factory MKIV Supra subframe. Our dry sump kit is designed to fit the stock subframe with minimal modifications necessary, making the installation process very simple. These kits have been safely tested to 10,000+ rpm on our race engines.
Basic kit includes the following items;
• Billet/Sheet meteal Oil Pan
• Barnes 5 stage pump with all hardware
• HTD Taper grip pump pulley
• Oil Pump Belt
• Mandrel for Titan/ATI pulley
• Drive gears for crank and pump
• Billet Oil pump Bracket
• Modified Oil Pump
• Fragola Custom Lines to the pan with preinstalled oil filters
• All hardware needed
Additional parts needed:
• Inline oil filter for after Pump
• Oil Tank
Optional Parts Available:
• Oil Cooler Kit
• Electric Oil Tank Heater
This weekend V2Lab hosted it’s second Mystery Meat in downtown Orlando. Last years impromptu event brought chaos to downtown, this year the event had the cities blessing and was much more organized as a result. This event isn’t a car show, but rather a gathering of like minded enthusiast to hang out, show off their cars and enjoy the great Florida weather. As a result the scope of vehicles in attendance varies from Donks, VW, Honda, Exotics, Ruckus, bikes, all with modification from mild to wild. It was a great event, a big thanks to Ravi and the V2Lab crew for putting it together, we are already looking forward to next years event.
Epic releases their short film “The Quarter Mile” documenting the World record seting performance of the Worlds Quickest Import, the Titan Motorsports built Supra of E Kanoo Racing.
Originally developed on our 2JZ race engines to save additional weight, we had many requests to developed these for the consumer market. The foundation for these stunning covers is a billet aluminum base that is CNC machined to offer proper gasket sealing with the head using the factory gasket. We then hand form a smooth sheet metal top that is then tig welded before being mirror polished. The result is a set of valve covers that are 2lbs lighter than the factory units, and more visually appealing. The sheet metal construction allows the valve covers to be used with or without a fill cap, and -10 or -12AN fittings to be placed at the customers requested location for crankcase ventilation (standard configuration is smooth).
The Getrag V160 transmission commonly found in the Toyota Supra Turbo is a very robust unit, however over time wear to the factory bushings can produce a sloppy feel in the shifter. Solidify the shift armature with these billet aluminum shifter bushings that remove excess play and help ensure a smooth and consistent shift every time. Transmission removal is not required for installation, just remove your shift tower and replace the worn factory bushings with your new Titan billets.
March 28,2013 : The EK Kanoo Racing Supra driven by Gary White set the record for the Worlds Quickest Import at Bahrain International Circuit with a 6.237@227.77 MPH pass. The car is a 3/4 chassis built entirely in house by Titan Motorsports and featured a Titan built 2JZ powerplant which still featured OEM Block and Head castings. The Supra will continue to try to best this current feet while participating in the BDRC Championship currently in progress.
