DEI T25/T28 Titanium Turbo Shield

May 10th, 2011 Comments off

Check out these new T25/T28 Titanium Turbo Shields with LR Technology from DEI. These new shields feature LR Technology which provides the ultimate means of reducing turbo lag while serving as a superior heat barrier – shielding and protecting engine components, hoods and painted surfaces and offers a very cool looking carbon fiber look.

Made from pulverized volcanic rock then strained into a fiber material, Titanium Turbo Shields can withstand direct heat up to 1800 F and 2500 F radiant heat. This means retaining more heat in the turbine and less damaging underhood heat. The result is a cooler air intake temperature and a boost in horsepower!

Stronger and more durable than other turbo blankets or shields, Titanium Turbo Shields include a hi-temp rated silica insulation padding under the tight outer layer for extra added protection against extreme turbo-generated heat. Available in T3, T4, T6, and T25/28 Applications

DEI has just released their new Titanium T4 Turbo Shields. These are custom fit Titanium Turbo Shields, with LR Technology, that provide the ultimate means of reducing turbo lag while serving as a superior heat barrier – shielding and protecting engine components, hoods and painted surfaces and offers a very cool looking carbon fiber look.

-Anchoring hooks are incorporated to secure the shield.
-Each Kit Includes: Turbo Shield, 2” x 15 ft roll of Titanium down pipe wrap, two 14” stainless steel zip ties & fastening wire .

DEI’s New Titanium Exhaust Wrap

Constructed from pulverized lava rock, extruded into fibers and then woven into a tight weave gives this material titanium-like strength and toughness. This improvement in thermal protection helps reduce underhood temperatures resulting in cooler air intake for improved performance. And less heat in the engine bay means reducing the chances of “heat soak” conditions on vital underhood components.

Titanium Wrap is extremely durable and capable of handling more heat than any other wrap found in the market today. Typical glass fiber wrap is rated at handling 1200 degrees F of maximum direct heat, while Design Engineering’s new Titanium Wrap, using LR Technology, is capable of handling direct continuous heat up to 1800 degrees F and radiant heat up to 2800 degrees F. And because it’s pliable, there’s no need to wet the wrap when wrapping headers or pipes as many do in order to make the wrapping process easier to manage and to get a “tight” wrap.

Available through Titan Motorsports in 1” and 2” widths and 15 and 50 foot lengths, Titanium Wrap will not shrink and because of it’s material structure, it is more resistant to temperature and vibration break-down, abrasions, chemical and hot oil spills vs. glass fiber wrap. Plus DEI’s Titanium Wrap offers an added feature – a very cool carbon fiber look!
