The R35 Nissan GTR factory mass air flow sensors have difficulty reading the additional airflow
provided with upgraded turbos and aftermarket blow off valves and in high boost OEM applications. To remedy this problem, the air volume must be converted to a speed density setup requiring the air temp sensor to be moved post-intercooler and a MAP sensor installed. Titan Motorsports has
created a plug-and-play kit that resolves this problem relocating the intake air temperature sensor from the factory MAF Housing to the Upper intercooler upper pipe.
This kit is a recommended upgrade for R35 GTRs making more than 700whp or those wanting to run Vent-to-Atmosphere Blow-Off Valves. This installation takes 5 minutes and the included Plug-N-Play harness allows the car to be returned to stock. It should be noted this modification will require an ECU re-tune calibration for Speed Density, with proper calibration there is no change in drivability.
Included in this kit :
-Intake Air Temperature and Map Sensor (all in one)
– Motorsports Grade Plug and Play Harness

Titan Motorsports has released it’s latest offering for the popular Nissan GTR, it’s chromoly front control arm upgrade kit which features quick camber barrel adjusters. These tubular chromoly control arms are a direct replacement over the factory units.
A single barrel camber adjuster allows for quick alignment changes by loosening the jam nut, inserting a standard 1/4 ratchet into the end of the barrel adjuster and turning to lengthen and shorten the upper rod end. The adjuster allows for changes from a factory setup to significant negative camber for those wanting to run wider tires and increase grip at the track. In addition to the benefits of camber adjustments, these control arms also replace all rubber bushings with durable race proven FK spherical bearings reducing play and increasing feedback for the driver when using tires with increased grip.
The control arm comes complete with all spacers and hardware required for installation.

The Nissan GTR Roll bar has been a huge success for us as many sanctioned race tracks require such for cars going quicker than 11.50 in the quarter mile. Our standard bars options in a variety of colors fit most consumers requirements, however every now and then we get custom requests which we’re more than happy to produce (at an additional cost of course). This particular customer was interested in a 6pt Roll Bar for his Nissan GTR. In addition to wanting 2 extra points of contact over our standard 4pt bolt in unit, the customer wanted the door bars to be removable and the color matched to his cars deep blue pearl exterior. With our new computer assisted bender from Baileigh Industrial we’re able to take customers ideas like this one and make them a reality. Designs are first drawn in CAD software and then sent to the bender allowing precision fit and repeatability. All of our roll bars are produced from chromoly and Tig welded in house before being sent off for finishing. Custom colors can be produced using powder coat for most colors, however in the event an exact match is not available we can have the bar painted using the same high quality paint process used on the cars exterior.
As we continue the build of our in house Copper development GTR, we continue to push the envelope with the hard parts that will encompass the engine and true heart of the build. With the success of our Titan Motorsports CNC head program and head and main studs, our attention has shifted to the lower end of the engine. Our development partners have already found great success with our Titan Motorsports stroker kit, and wanting to give them the tools to push further we began development of a full CNC block. The blocks have been designed to accommodate Darton MID sleeves that will have bores available to 100mm. The area surrounding the head studs has also been engineered to allow for additional material around the threads to beef up this crucial area.
Featuring a 2 piece design, the bottom girdle portion is machined from 7075-T6 Alloy that has been hard anodized black. The upper portion of the block will be machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum. The block has already been CAD rendered and the first raw materials have arrived and wait machining. We anticipate the completed product to be in our hands in the next 2-3 months for initial real world testing before being released to the general public.
Keeping inlet air temperatures low is a key to making consistent horsepower with any turbocharged application. To combat this problem in the Nissan GTR we have developed our new Titan Motorsports OE replacement Intercooler. The foundation for our intercooler upgrade start with a massive 22”x10”x4.50” core from an industry leading US manufacture. The core is then surrounded by CAD designed end tanks which are laser cut for consistency are TIG welded in custom fixtures to prevent warping.
The Titan Motorsports street intercooler kit features 2.75” diameter inlets and outlets and are bead rolled at our facility to prevent the charge pipes from blowing off at higher boost levels. This intercooler is designed so that the factory Nissan intercooler pipes or any other factory replacement piping system can be utilized. As a result there is no need for additional piping to be supplied with this kit. The plug and play nature of the Titan street intercooler allows the unit to be installed without modifying the factory bumper or any other factory panels, and allows the factory bumper support to remain intact. All necessary hardware and instructions are included with the core.

We just returned from TX2K13, the annual Super meet in Houston, TX. What originally started as a Supra meet over 10 years ago has blossomed into a Mecca performance enthusiasts from around the country. This year marked the changing of the guards, as what was once marketed as the annual “Supra Meet” was overrun by GTRs. Sure there were a plethora of clean Supras, Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferraris and late model domestics, but no car seemed as popular as the Nissan GTR.
Thursday we attended the GTRLife night party at Wild Wing Cafe and first got our glimpse of how popular the GTR would be at the meet when the entire parking lot was filled with Nissans latest Super car.
The dyno event took place at Hennessy’s facilities which features dual dynos, one RWD unit and and AWD unit. The RWD dyno had a sensor failure early in the afternoon which prevented many of the heavy hitters from being able to put down the big numbers they intended. While the drag strip has always been the official landmark event for TX2K, everyone knows the real action happens on the street. Houston’s finest have caught on and had their fleet working overtime trying to prevent the street races, however many went down without a hitch. The Omni hotel was overwhelmed with ever inch of it’s parking lot filled with high power cars just looking for their next victim. A quick search for TX2K on YouTube will reveal plenty of entertaining videos and events in “Mexico” for those interested in seeing what goes on after hours.
This year marked the first year in some time that we did not bring our Copper Supra, or any cars for that matter. The Supra was tested earlier this spring yielding the 201mph trap speed, however conflicts with our race team, as well as track conditions for the weekend forced us to make the tough decision to leave the car at home. We’re also currently in the process of doing a full upgrade to our GTR house car, and felt rushing it for this one event wouldn’t be the correct thing to do for this development process. We’ll get an earlier start next year and look forward to bringing out our full arsenal, as well as customers to enjoy what has become the can’t miss event if you’re a performance enthusiast. A big thank you to Peter Blach for putting blood sweat and tears into making sure this event is everything it can be, we’re proud to sponsor such a fantastic event.
As experts in import and turbocharged performance we’ve often been asked our thoughts on the Nissan GTR platform as it so closely resembles a modern version of the Supra in terms of it’s tune-ability and fan fare among the performance community. We’ve been building and installing parts for these cars since they were released but felt it was finally time to purchase one for the shop to demo and further develop parts for the hardcore enthusiast. In true Titan fashion we decided not to purchase just one GTR, but rather 2. The two cars have already been extensively upgraded, one will remain a more street-able version that our customers can relate to, the second will be involved in an extreme full build.
First up is our Sales Manager Eric Kerwin’s 2010 Nissan GTR in Brilliant White Pearl. The car features the first set of HRE’s new C106S, a conical version of their new 6 spoke 106 wheel. The wheels were finished in a unique matte gold center and gloss gold lip to provide extra contrast against the brilliant pearl white paint. The factory run flats were removed in favor of Michelin Pilot SuperSport tires in 285/35/20 335/30/20 sizings, a tire upgrade we feel is one of the best bang for you buck upgrades available for the GTR currently. The car was lowered using KW’s sleeve coil over kit which allows the ride height to be adjusted while maintaing the factory electronic suspension controls. We also installed our popular Titan Motorsports Bolt in GTR roll bar to keep the car legal at the track.
With the suspension and wheels taken care of, some extra power was needed to help round out the car and make Eric’s daily commute a bit quicker. Speed By Design Intakes, Midpipe, Downpipe and Exhaust were installed on the car. We also added a set of Speed By Design upgraded fuel pumps and Injector Dynamics ID1000 injectors before tuning the car with a custom Titan Motorsports tune delivered through the Cobb Access Port. Eric’s car was designed around delivering basic performance upgrades that any GTR owner can have installed in a weeks time or less providing for significant improvements in all aspects of the vehicle without sacrificing the ability to be daily driven. Nero’s gray GTR current features a nearly mirror image of the upgrades to Eric’s car but will be undergoing the knife soon as it will get a fully built complete with our Titan Motorsports Stroker kit, upgraded turbos and fuel system in hopes of becoming king of the streets.

Titan Motorsports introduces our cylinder head and valve train upgrade program for the Nissan GTR and it’s VR38 engine platform. The VR38 engine platform is a very robust platform to begin with, however utilizing cylinder head technology gained from our years of racing and building turbocharged engines, Titan Motorsports was able to improve the factory cylinder heads. Computer aided CNC porting allows exact dimensions to be tested and replicated across all 6 cylinder ports, achieving equal airflow for all 6 cylinders. These results can not be produced or replicated using traditional hand cylinder porting, and allow for more exact ECU tuning and additional horsepower as a result of the additional airflow.
The valvetrain was produced in partnership with industry leader Ferrea to ensure the valve and spring package would operate harmoniously with the increased airflow provided from the CNC porting. This upgraded cylinder head utilizes an upgraded OEM valve size and dual spring combination in conjunction with titanium retainers to maintain the lightest valve train possible without sacrificing durability. Reducing the valvetrain weight allows the engines redline to be raised and consistent and reliable engine revolutions in the 9000+ range to be achieved.
The factory head flows 280CFM on the intake side and 202 CFM on the exhaust side at 28″ test pressure. With our CNC port and upgraded valvetrain the result was 332 CFM on the Intake side and 242 CFM on the exhaust side at the same 28″ test pressure. The complete package results in an astounding gain of 52CFM on the intake side and 40CFM on the exhaust without any sacrifice in reliability or drivability. All flow tests were completed on the latest 1020 Super Flow bench using advanced data collection which allows for a more accurate reading over the Super Flow 600 it replaces (which typically reads 10-12 CFM higher).
