ACT DSM Twin-Disc Kit

The ACT Race twin-disc kit offers DSM enthusiasts a true race-ready, complete, direct bolt in clutch kit that requires absolutely no modifications. The ACT Race twin disc kit utilizes sintered iron discs for maximum holding capacity (770 lbs/ft of torque) and quick shifting while also offering twice the surface area for high heat capacity and long life. Each kit has an overall weight of 16 lbs as compared to the 29 lb stock kit (a 45% decrease in weight) and results in a very low moment of inertia. With ACT’s ability to design and manufacture their own diaphragm springs, pedal load was kept to a minimal 20% increase over the stock pedal load. The twin-disc is available in 6 bolt (ACT-T1RR-M01) and 7 bolt (ACT-T1RR-M02) configurations.

This new ACT Race twin-disc kit offers SRT-4 enthusiasts a true race-ready complete direct bolt in clutch kit that requires absolutely no modifications. The ACT Race twin disc kit utilizes sintered iron discs for maximum holding capacity (770 lbs/ft of torque) and quick shifting while also offering twice the surface area for high heat capacity and long life. Each kit has an overall weight of 15 lbs as compared to the 31 lb stock kit (a 52% decrease in weight) and results in a very low moment of inertia. With ACT’s ability to design and manufacture their own diaphragm springs, they were able to keep the pedal load to a minimal 15% increase over the stock pedal load.

For far too long the use of a twin disc clutch meant that you had to sacrafice driveability. They were on and off switches that you dare not use on the street. But when you have a car making too much horsepower for a conventional clutch set-up, what were you to do? Now there is an answer!

The new Fidanza twin disc clutch kits are designed to hold up to 900 ft/lb of torque. This is achieved by using state of the art materials and incredible designs. All this holding power does not mean that driveability is lost. Pedal feel is virtually unchanged and engagement is as smooth as our 3.2 kevlar single disc unit.

THE FLOATER PLATE ON ALL OUR UNITS IS STRAPPED TO ELIMINATE THE ANNOYING RATTLE THAT TWIN DISC UNITS ARE KNOWN FOR.

At only 8 3/4″ in diameter, we have also kept down the rotating mass to further improve performance.

The kit not only includes the pressure plate and both discs, but also a state of the art high quality performance flywheel.
