Titan Motorsports 2015 Open House raises $16,154.00 for Charity

March 11th, 2015 Comments off

Our 6th Annual Titan Motorsports Open House took place this weekend and we’re happy to announce that we raised $16,154.00 to be donated to various charities. This event has grown every year since its inception and this year was no different with over 1,100 RSVPs through Facebook in the days leading up to the event. Our entire complex was filled to capacity along with nearly every available square inch surrounding where ever a car could be parked. We want to thank all of our great fans and supporters for their patience throughout the day and for helping make this event as great as it is. We are already looking forward to next years event and hope to raise even more money for charity and providing a great place for motorsports enthusiasts to gather and enjoy our facility and the many great cars that attend.

This year we will be making donations to our two chosen charities the Just in Queso Foundation and Florida Little Dog Rescue. The Just In Queso Foundation provides aid to individuals, organizations and communities in need and has been a partner charity for us since our first event in 2010. Florida Little Dog Rescue helps save dogs on Death Row at local Animal Controls. These are dogs that can’t be adopted out directly from Animal Control, mainly for medical reasons. They are rescued, and receive the attention they need so that they can be adopted into a forever home. In addition to donations to this great charity ,we also had them bring out some of their available dogs to the open house, we’re happy to report that we were able to help one of the dogs find it’s forever home at the event.

We want to thank our event sponsors and participating vendors for their gracious support and attendance:

ACL, ARP, BC Suspension, Cometic, CP Pistons, DEI, Denso, Edelbrock, Fidanza, Fuel Lab, JE Pistons, Gates, King Bearings, Limitless Drones, Mr. Gasket, Ideal Auto Glass, NGK, Nitrous Express, Precision Turbo, Weld Racing, Wiseco, Highway Star, I Love Driving Slow, Lowered Lifestyle, Simply Clean

Wanna Go Fast – Runway 1/2 Mile Event at Jumbolair in Ocala

January 30th, 2015 Comments off

WannaGoFast held their most recent event at the Jumbolair Airstrip in Ocala, FL. Jumbolair is home to actor John Travolta (you can even see his monster 707 in the background of a few of the pictures) and provided a great airstrip for half mile racing less than an hour and a half from metropolitan Orlando. We used the event to debut and begin testing on the recently completed FH Racing Supra and a few of our clients vehicles, and everyone involved had a great time. We hope to see Wanna Go Fast back in Florida in the fall so that we can invest additional time in getting our own house cars dialed in for the event.

Event Coverage : V2Lab Mystery Meat 3

October 21st, 2014 Comments off

V2Lab held the 3rd installment of their Mystery Meat this weekend in Downtown Orlando. Always a popular event, this year proved to exceed anyone’s wildest expectations with an estimated 75,000-100,000 people and thousands of cars flooding the streets of downtown Orlando. While the event didn’t officially start until 10AM, the vendor lots and surrounding parking lots were swarming with attendees as early as 5:30AM with participating cars ranging from exotics, to tuners, to even the retired NBA superstar Shaquille O’neal rolled through on his custom trike. Unfortunately crowd control did become a factor and a few select individuals helped ruin the event for everyone when the police felt they had limited resources to control such a big event and promptly began shutting down the show early. We’d like to thank Ravi and the gang at V2Lab for hosting us, it was a great event that’s success allowed it to outgrow the city hosting it, we’re anxious to see what’s in store for next year and look forward to attending the next Mystery Meat.

Titan Motorsports proves Supras can still Compete at Texas Invitational

May 8th, 2014 Comments off

The Texas Invitational is currently one of the nation’s premiere roll racing events for true street cars. A heads up battle takes place on an unprepared runway providing a safe and legal alternative to street/highway racing for those participating. As the name would suggest, Texas Invitational invites premier shops from around the country to Texas in order to see who takes home the King of the Streets and 6-Speed challenge bragging rights. The format is simple, you begin with a rolling start to 60MPH, if both cars are paired equally while crossing a starting beacon a green light is given and the first one to the finish line wins. The finish line is a marked point that features a scoreboard showing the competitors sped through the traps for the audience and fellow competitors to see.

Titan Motorsports brought out Dalton McGuire’s newly completely 1998 Quicksilver Supra for its inaugural trip to TI. The Supra platform has not been competitive at previous events, however Daltons car was built to calm the critics and it quickly did with a 180MPH pass in Friday qualifying placing it in the Top 15 out of 80 competitors. It backed this pass up in Saturday’s last qualifying session yielded a 186MPH run and placing itself as a serious contender in the 6-speed challenge. Dalton’s Supra continued its quick and consistent passes allowing to go rounds in eliminations taking out Vipers, Twin Turbo Lambo’s before losing in the semi-finals to the eventual winner Reza in his Twin Turbo Gallardo.

Even though the car did not win the event, our team was very happy with the semi-final finish in an untested car that proved to not only be fast but also reliable. The majority of people in attendance were impressed with how reliable the platform proved to be given the back to back racing every 10-minutes. This quick turnaround time ensures that minimal service can be conducted between rounds, ensuring that competitors bring a true street car and not a full fledged trailer queen. Dalton’s Titan Motorsports Supra made every round and every call to race and armed with data from a great weekend of racing, the car is ready for the next TI event in October.

Titan Motorsports would also like to thank all the competitors who helped make TI such a successful event with great races : AMS, Blackhorse Turbo Racing, Boost Logic, Calvo Motorsports, Dallas Performance, D3 Performance, Eddie Bello, Heffner Performance, KP Racing, Lethal Performance, Nth Moto, Switzer Performance, T1Race, and Underground Racing.

The streets of downtown Celebration were filled with exotic cars and enthusiasts as the annual Celebration Exotic Car Festival took over the small town outside Orlando. The event benefits the Make A Wish foundation and attracts hundreds of exotic and limited cars in addition to Movie cars and celebrities. In addition to Ferraris and Lamborghinis as far as the eye could see, this event also marked the landing of the first McLaren P1 to hit Florida which drew an incredible crowd throughout the day. We proudly displayed our M5 and GTR projects in addition to a fleet of vehicles from the Mac Racing collection which cleaned up the awards ceremony with 8 wins.
