Nissan R35 GT-R Engine Plug-In ECU Kit

MoTeC is excited to announce the official release of our new M1 plug-in engine management
solution for the Nissan R35 GT-R. This is a fully programmable replacement for the factory-fitted
engine computer, plugging directly into the stock wiring harness and making use of the original
sensors and fuel system. All essential OE functions are maintained, including dashboard, traction
control and gearbox systems.

MoTeC’s kit consists of our next generation M150 ECU with Level 2 Logging and 250 MB memory,
plus a complete Installation Set. The Installation Set includes a wiring adaptor box, looms,
sensors and all necessary accessories. Given the likelihood of modifications to these engines,
we have included a Modifications Guide in the attached data sheet detailing the components
we recommend based on our own testing. MoTeC strongly suggests all dealers read this
information when discussing the installation of our M1 kit with customers.

Please note, due to numerous integrated vehicle systems built into the firmware, this ECU is not
suitable for engine applications into a different vehicle.

Titan Motorsports announces it’s 2013 Open House will take place March 9th.

The open house is open to the public and features a car show with trophies and prizes for the top vehicles in several “best of” classes. This year we’ve changed the format to offer less classes with more of a focus on “best in show” based on clean modified vehicles. We’re also going to have a Ruckus class this year after the huge response from the Ruckus community in years past, so bring your 2 wheel vehicle and show them off as well.

The dyno format will change this year as well, instead of having a general dyno day, we’ve reached out to shops and racers in the area to have their big power and unique builds take a spin on our Dynojet 424. Expect to see some friendly competition and big power numbers as a result.

This year will also see the return of our Bikini contest with $400 going to the winner, and $150 to the runner up. Tijuana Flats will also return offering free food to attended, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to their Just-In-Queso charity. We’ll be increasing our prize give-aways as well and have reached out to our vendors and partners to donate many great items for the raffles and prizes.

Representatives from the top brands in the automotive aftermarket industry will be on site to display their products and answer questions on their product offerings. A raffle will be held to benefit the Just-In-Queso charity, prizes include gift certificates, apparel, parts, and memorabilia from these great vendors.

A Double Dose of Titan Motorsports demo Nissan GTRs

As experts in import and turbocharged performance we’ve often been asked our thoughts on the Nissan GTR platform as it so closely resembles a modern version of the Supra in terms of it’s tune-ability and fan fare among the performance community. We’ve been building and installing parts for these cars since they were released but felt it was finally time to purchase one for the shop to demo and further develop parts for the hardcore enthusiast. In true Titan fashion we decided not to purchase just one GTR, but rather 2. The two cars have already been extensively upgraded, one will remain a more street-able version that our customers can relate to, the second will be involved in an extreme full build.

First up is our Sales Manager Eric Kerwin’s 2010 Nissan GTR in Brilliant White Pearl. The car features the first set of HRE’s new C106S, a conical version of their new 6 spoke 106 wheel. The wheels were finished in a unique matte gold center and gloss gold lip to provide extra contrast against the brilliant pearl white paint. The factory run flats were removed in favor of Michelin Pilot SuperSport tires in 285/35/20 335/30/20 sizings, a tire upgrade we feel is one of the best bang for you buck upgrades available for the GTR currently. The car was lowered using KW’s sleeve coil over kit which allows the ride height to be adjusted while maintaing the factory electronic suspension controls. We also installed our popular Titan Motorsports Bolt in GTR roll bar to keep the car legal at the track.

With the suspension and wheels taken care of, some extra power was needed to help round out the car and make Eric’s daily commute a bit quicker. Speed By Design Intakes, Midpipe, Downpipe and Exhaust were installed on the car. We also added a set of Speed By Design upgraded fuel pumps and Injector Dynamics ID1000 injectors before tuning the car with a custom Titan Motorsports tune delivered through the Cobb Access Port. Eric’s car was designed around delivering basic performance upgrades that any GTR owner can have installed in a weeks time or less providing for significant improvements in all aspects of the vehicle without sacrificing the ability to be daily driven. Nero’s gray GTR current features a nearly mirror image of the upgrades to Eric’s car but will be undergoing the knife soon as it will get a fully built complete with our Titan Motorsports Stroker kit, upgraded turbos and fuel system in hopes of becoming king of the streets.

Titan Motorsports Ultimate Pistons for Nissan R35 GTR – VR38DETT

Titan Motorsports in conjunction with CP Pistons has developed the Titan Ultimate Piston for the Nissan R35 GTR. Using knowledge gained for over a decade of building the worlds quickest and fastest turbocharged imports, a piston combination was spec’d to ensure maximum performance and reliability for GTR owners looking to go to the next level with their engine builds. Starting with a stock 95.5mm bore 9.0:1 compression ratio piston the crown and coats both receive ceramic coating to reduce heat and friction. Special attention is also taken for the wrist pins which are thick wall and feature precision honing for more precise pin clearance. The pins are lubricated using double pin oilers which delivers twice the volume of oil to the pin, a must for high rpm engines. The pistons feature a machined accumulator groove between the top and second ring to reduce pressure. Titan Ultimate Pistons come standard with rings, wrist pins, pin fitted, and locks. Custom bores and compression ratios are available on a special order basis.

Injen Releases Dual Short Ram Intake for Nissan R35 GTR

Injen has released their latest intake setup for the R35 GTR. The system comes with intakes, upper intercooler piping and couplers. No recalibration of the ecu is required, just bolt on and go for expected gains of up to 30hp / 25tq. The intakes feature Injens high flowing web Nano dry filters, which require no oiling. The intake is available in your choice of chrome or black chrome with red couples.

Albins Nissan R35 GTR 1st to 6th Kit with Albins Gear Retaining System

Building on the phenomenal success of the Albins 1100 HP 1st gear upgrade for R35 GTR, the long awaited release of a matching 2nd to 6th gear set was recently rolled out. The Albins high-shockload gear “ground” tooth profile rather than the conventionally hobbed tooth delivers tooth profile perfection with zero noise. Robotic CMM scanned tooth profiles deliver perfect gear mesh with substantial increases in power holding capability. Recently tested by Ivey Technologies in the USA, and found to have less tranmission noise than the OEM transmission, the Albins 2-6th gear set is a must-have for highly tuned R35 GTRs with power nearing the 1100 HP mark. Aeromotions Releases Endurance Racing Splitter for Nissan GT-R

Aeromotions Inc. announced the launch of their new GT-R R35 splitter. Over a year of computer modeling, analysis, and track testing led to the unique design. While the top of the splitter appears normal, the bottom of the splitter has CNC cut venturis to feed air into the stock GT-R front venturis. This system works to enhance the great engineering already present in the R35 GT-R, while eliminating some of the factory under steer.

The three-piece splitter is constructed from Amarin Fiber, a revolutionary composite that has strength-to-weight properties similar to carbon-fiber, but adds much greater impact and wear resistance. The piece is perfect for endurance-racing applications. The splitter mounts directly to the frame and air-dam with the included stainless steel hardware. Titan Motorsports releases Nissan R35 GTR Stroker Kit

Titan Motorsports releases its stroker kit for the VR38DETT engine found in the 2007+ Nissan GTR. The kit features a 94.4mm stroke crankshaft which increases the factory 3.8L engine to 4.1L with standard bore pistons, up to 4.3L with overbore pistons. The billet crank features scalloping as well as knife edged counterweights to reduce weight and increase crankshaft aerodynamics. The crank also features a 2.200” rod bearing which allows for a larger variety of bearing material availability over the factory Nissan bearings. The kit includes Carillo rods and CP pistons produced to Titan Motorsports specifications, designed for an increase in RPM range and horsepower. The pistons are available in standard bore, over bore, or custom bore to customer specifications. The complete kit including crankshaft, rods, pistons, wrist pins and rings retails for $9,995.00 and is available for shipment worldwide.
