Last weekend we participated in the ADRL US Drags II. After sorting out a few problems in testing, we were very optimistic about Friday night’s qualifying. “Friday night is always the best opportunity to make a good run in qualifying so we didn’t want to waste it” said crew chief Brett White. Indeed he was right, as Team Titan managed to make a career best run of 4.056 @ 181.25 mph. That pass landed us in the #2 qualifying spot and also broke the national elapsed time record in the XTF class!
On Saturday, we faced our first round opponent Randy Matlock. First round was run during the heat of the day so track conditions were the worst we would face all weekend. We made adjustments to soften the tune up to make sure we made a clean run. This turned out a 4.18 @ 177 mph which advanced us into the second round.
In the second round we faced Dave Hance. By this time the sun had begun to set and track conditions had started to get a little better. We decided to try to creep up on the tune up just a little bit while still making sure we didn’t over power the race track. The car responded really well to the small changes and ran a 4.072 @ 180 mph which backed up the 4.05 run. This set the national record at 4.056 for a few minutes before Chuck Ulsch reset the record again.
In the semi final round we were up against Joel Bayless. We were trying to keep the car consistent and managed to do just that, running another 4.07 @180 to win the round, and a chance to compete in the finals for the second time this season.
In the final race we were matched up with Chuck Ulsch, which proved to be somewhat of a David vs. Goliath scenario. Chuck has a brand new racecar with the most powerful motor in the class to this point and has been very tough to beat. At the drop of the tree, the cars left the starting line with Gary posting a .123 reaction time and Chuck a .160 reaction time. Both cars got really loose and slid around a lot in the middle of the track. Both cars were eventually corralled and we ended up running a 4.070 to Chucks 4.032. In the end Chuck Ulsch came away the winner by .001 seconds. It was another tough break for the Titan crew, but the quick and consistent times has advanced Team Titan to the #2 points position at just past the half way mark in the season.

With our recent move, it’s unfortunately been a few months since we’ve been able to attend Cars and Cafe. The turnout was great as many automotive enthusiasts braved the 90+ degree heat to checkout the many great cars in attendance. Standouts included the new Alfa Romeo 8c brought out by Central Florida Ferrari, as well as a beautiful pro touring 67 Nova that fit right in the sea of exotics surrounding it.
Cars and Cafe takes place the last Saturday of each month from 9am-11am at Colonial TownPark in Lake Mary, FL.
In the eyes of any car enthusiast, there can always be more. No matter how much you modify your car, and no matter how happy it makes you, there’s always that next part, that next set of wheels, or that next paint scheme. This is very much the case with our latest arrival to the Titan Motorsports holding pen. David Price has brought his beautiful green Supra all the way from the United Kingdom to have the crew at Titan give it a complete makeover. The car is being repainted (same color), will be receiving a fresh set of HRE wheels, as well as a fully built Titan motor. If this Supra was mean and green before, it’s going to be Bruce Banner Bad-Ass when we are done with it. We will be posting pictures of the entire build, so stay tuned for frequent updates.

We’ve finally moved the office to the new location (showroom and shop will be setup shortly), to celebrate Nero’s fiancé sent us these great cookies. Cookies by Design here in Orlando baked and decorated the great looking race themed cookies. With all the fat bastards around here it likely won’t be long until they’re gone, thanks Deepal!
If anyone else is sending gifts or treats **Hint Hint ** our new address is 11370 Boggy Creek Rd Orlando, FL 32824. We’ll post some post move pictures and updates in the coming days once some of the dust settles.
Finishing work is still being completed at our new location on Boggy Creek and we’re getting very close to the move. A bit more red tape to cut through with the city and a bit more finishing and we should be ready to move into this state of the art facility.
The tiles and insulation are being installed in the ceilings, making the call center pretty much ready for move-in.
The sun rises towards the entry windows to the building so we added some much needed tint to reduce glare and keep the temperatures cool. The window on the left is tinted, the right is not, you can the see the difference quite easily. Flying Window tinters handled the install and did a fabulous job as they do on our personal vehicles as well.
With 6 loading docks in the rear of the building, our sending and receiving areas will be less cluttered. allow for easier transitions into the awaiting logistic companies trucks for delivery.
We’ve begun testing product spacing to allow for an easier move. It’s amazing how quickly the space fills up with larger products, fortunately we’ve got plenty of shelves to fill.
The wild Supra we built for Dr. Nick Angelastro was recently featured in Top Performance, a great magazine targeting the Middle East. This Supra was built from the ground up from an NA Automatic Shell, here at Titan Motorsports. Full details on the build can be found in the article in snapshots below for those who do not have access to this great magazine on their local newsstand.
As the import performance market continues to evolve, an increased importance has been placed on the stance of a vehicle. While lowering a vehicle often improves the overall handling of a vehicle by lowering its center of gravity, many choose to install coilovers or lowering springs to rid their vehicles of unpopular wheel gap. The big downside to having a lowered vehicle is decreased ground clearance for lifting or trailering the vehicle. Race Ramps has come to the rescue with an ingenious product that is both lightweight and portable, while remaining fully functional. These textured ramps bridge decrease the angle of entry allowing lower vehicles to enter an incline at a more gradual angle protecting the under carriage from damage. Their textured finish not only protects them from the elements, but also allows them more traction to prevent from sliding during entry.
Race Ramps trailer extenders make loading and unloading your vehicle into a trailer an absolute breeze. Gone are the days of worrying about shooting 2x4s from under your car while looking for that extra clearance. Race Ramps . We personally use the Race Ramp RR-TR-5 model at Titan, and have had nothing but success loading super-low cars on any trailer (we’ve even gone as far as loading a drag Supra on a U-Haul). In addition to the trailer extenders, we are also avid users of Race Ramps Trak-Jax and use the RR-TJ-S model at our shop. This product allows you to gradually raise the front or rear of the vehicle to allow jack or lift access under vehicles that would not normally be possible on anything but a recessed lift.
Race Ramps offers a variety of ramps to fit nearly any application and use, and will even offer a custom ramp program should you find an oddity that doesn’t exist in their standard catalog. Titan Motorsports carries the complete line-up of Race Ramp products, many of which can be purchased online at our website.
