Titan Preps for TX2K11

February 28th, 2011 Comments off

In the waning days leading up to Texas 2K11, Team Titan has been pedal to the metal getting the Copper Supra back into sprinting shape. Although the Supra had run a 7.66@188.44mph in its last outing over a year ago, there were still a few “cobwebs” to be cleared (and some actual ones too). So it’s been out with the old, and in with the new, including a new header design, custom built by Titan Motorsports, and a custom set of Driveshaft Shop Axles.

Here you can see the new manifold…

Additionally, The Team will be testing new turbo combinations next week at the Shakedown at Palm Beach, where the Supra will later go on to run in the Pro Import Class, with the Pro Scion running in Pro Mod.

New Precision Turbo…

“We are extremely excited to be racing the Supra again” says owner Nero Deliwala. The Supra will be running in the Unlimited Class at TX2K11, and will be looking to once again put a few numbers in the record books.

Yep, thats exactly what they did in the July 1993 issue of Motor Trend Magazine. It was pretty neat to see how the Supra stacked up to some of the other “supercars” of the early 90’s. Check out the full article in the gallery below.

Titan Sponsors UK-Based Time Attack Team

July 19th, 2010 Comments off

Titan Motorsports has been a long time distributer to UK based Garage Whifbitz, who specializes in Japanese and especially Supra performance. So when we found out that they were running a pair of Supras in the UK Time Attack Series, we were eager to find out how we could help. We pick up on the action in the third round of the UK Time Attack Series:

-Time Attack Round 3 – Brands Hatch, UK-

Unlike the previous rounds, the team chose not to do a trackday the day before Brands Hatch as this is our local circuit, and the one on the calendar we are most familiar with having done lots of testing and trackdays in the past. Paul Whiffin’s car had to undergo quite substantial surgery following the broken cambelt tensioner pulley bracket at the last round in Scotland, as removal of the head showed damage to 12 valves which had been bent when the bracket broke. In addition to replacing the valves, Paul had to have all the valve seats re-cut as these were also damaged. The replacement tensioner pulley bracket was supplied by our newest sponsor Titan Motorsport, who are… jump to full release.

MKIII-Like A Boss!

March 1st, 2010 Comments off

What do you get when you combine a 2JZ-GTE with a custom billet wheel GT4582R Precision turbo and a bunch of Titan Motorsports parts including TMS 280/9.9mm cams, Stage 4 Head, and a Titan M800 PnP Motec ECU? Uh, a butt-load of power? 1292.99 to be exact! After our tuner Darin was able to tame the beast on Q16, the MKIII was able to crank out almost 1300 HP on boost alone, spinning the rollers all the way through 5th gear! Did someone say Texas?

We just received our first set of StopTech Trophy Sport Big Brakes, this particular kit is for a MKIV Supra, however these can be ordered in most StopTech BBK offerings.

The Trophy Sport calipers feature a Natural anodized caliper and hats in a color fade resistance gunmetal finish. The calipers themselves are 16-20% lighter than the standard caliper offerings and feature engraved StopTech logos with Epoxy paint fill. These were designed to mimic StopTech’s motorsports only Trophy line-up while featuring dust boots for protection against street driving debris, inconnel spring washers and rotor hardware, and street performance pads.

The Part Numbers and Pricing for the MKIV Kits are:

6 Piston front: 83.857.6700.R1 $3745
4 Piston rear: 83.857.0047.R1 $3245

Titan Motorsports Supra – Forza2 Style

January 29th, 2009 1 comment

Juan Aviles Vando of Puerto Rico sent us these great screen shots of our Titan Supra that he modeled in Forza2. When Forza2 first came out I spent days playing it and made a similar replica of our street Supra, but nothing like this creation complete with race inspired graphics and all. A big thanks to Juan for taking the time to create this and email it to us, I might just have to fire up the Xbox 360 and take this car for a spin.
