Good news Camaro fans, Vortech has a few New Supercharger Kits for the new 2010 Camaro. The system boosts a 47% increase in power at 6.5-7.5 PSI with their complete V-3 Si-Trim supercharger. The Tuner kits are available with the oil fed V-7 YSi-Trim supercharger capable of supporting up to 1200HP on modified vehicles. Complete systems include fuel system upgrades including high flow 66 lb/hr replacement fuel injectors, custom injector o-rings, “plug and play” harness adapters, and ECU re-flash. The kits come in your choice of polished or satin.
These new Precision PW46 Wastegates feature a 46mm valve, and can be used in a wide variety of applications. They can be used in any kit or setup that currently utilizes a v-band style 44mm gate, but will work best with the supplied inlet flange (the inside diameter of the flange is slightly larger than other competitors).
The wastegates will be shipped with all the necessary hardware (flanges, clamps, springs, etc), and can accommodate a wide range of boost pressures (anywhere from 1.5PSI up to 25.5PSI). All units feature a black, anodized wastegate cap, and a Kevlar reinforced silicone diaphragm. In addition, the unit features a five angle valve job, as well as high temp 17-7 ph springs (more durable and can withstand higher temperatures before changing rate). Lastly, the PW46 is set up for a 1 3/4″ pipe on the discharge side, and a 1 7/8″ pipe on the inlet.
Having the right brake fluid can make a world of difference. Tilton Engineering knows a thing or two about this, and since the introduction of their TB&C Brake Fluids, they have been proving it both on the track and the street.
Both the TSR-1 Supreme Racing Brake Fluid and TBR-1 Racing Brake Fluid are available now (click for more details), with the TCR-1 Racing Clutch Fluid coming out in Spring 2010.
After years of testing and production exclusively in our TMS Race/Street Cylinder Heads, Titan Motorsports is proud to announce that our TMS Valve Seats for the Toyota 2JZ-GTE are now available to purchase as their own part number; TMS-SUP-ENG-706.
These TMS Valve Seats can be used with oversized valves between +1 and +2.5mm, and are made out of Ampco 45. Ampco 45 has superior heat dissipation qualities when compared to an OEM seat, which in turn keeps the valves cooler, preventing seat erosion and valve face distortion or damage. It also has better lubrication properties, which leads to a longer service life for the valve head.
KW Suspension introduces their new Variant 1 and Variant 3 coilover systems.
KW has done extensive testing on their new Camaro applications and boast that “the sports car dynamically tackles curve speeds which would have led to massive understeering struggles with the serial version”. For the full article, click here.

Last weekend Titan Motorsports competed in Ennis Texas for the ADRL Battle of the Belts. We were in the #2 spot in points, and we matched up against the winner of the #7 and #8 points holder. Spiro Pappas (#8) won his first battle and was now our opponent Friday night in our first run. Spiro is one of only two cars in the “3 second club” in XTF, and we knew his team would be a handful. Both cars made great runs, but Pappas’4.01 @ 190 mph edged out our 4.02 @ 182 mph. It put an early end to our night which was disappointing for the whole team after working so hard to stay in the #2 points position all season. Spiro went on to win the Battle of the Belts form the #8 spot. Congrats.
The ADRL Battle for the Belts is counted toward the first race of the season, which directly follows. Our 4.02 run from Friday night now counted toward our qualifying for the first race of the season Saturday, so that left us in the #3 qualifying position going into the first round. Here we raced Tony Wilson and ran a solid 4.05 which was enough for the win and lane choice in the next round. In round 2 we faced Dan Millen. We knew we had to put together a strong run, and banged out a 4.01 @ 183.7 mph. It was good enough to advance to the next round, but we did not get the lane choice going in to the semi finals. We would be matched up against Spiro Pappas again in the semi finals and they were making great runs on Saturday as well. Spiro had some mechanical problems in the second round and no one knew if he would make it to the staging lanes. We waited as the Pappas team worked to fix their issues. At the last minute they pulled their car to the lanes and lined up for the race. Whatever they did, they did it right, because Pappas made a career best run of 3.92 @ 193 mph which was unmatched by us or anyone in XTF over the weekend. Chuck Ulsch did manage to beat Spiro Pappas on a hole-shot it the finals though. The elusive 3 second pass that we had hoped for slipped away from us again so we will have to wait to get that early in the 2010 season. The next ADRL race will take place March 12-13th 2010, at Houston Raceway Park, in Baytown Texas. Look for the Titan Team to be out in full force. We’ll see you at the races!
Want more power for your new Camaro? Magna Charger has a new supercharger that will help with that. The Magna Charger kit claims to make “a real-world 492 rear wheel HP, and 455 Ft. lbs. of rear wheel torque!”
The Camaro Magna Charger Supercharger Systems come complete with all components necessary for installation. Included in the kit is the cast aluminum intake manifold, factory “push-lock connectors” are utilized in the fuel system for installation ease, intercooler core, coolant circulation pump, heat exchanger and all necessary hardware to make a complete installation package. This system does not require any hood modifications. Other components include new high capacity fuel injectors, and fuel rails. The hand held computer programmer communications with the factory ECU for proper calibration of the supercharger system.
Our initial impression was good; all parts included and detailed instructions to accompany. Everything was pretty straight forward, and took less than a day to install, as indicated by Magna Charger.
This system is 100% bolt on, and comes with a standard 3-year limited warranty or an optional 3-year powertrain warranty. Look for a follow up post, where we get some dyno time, and truly test the new found performance.
This weekend we had the pleasure of checking out the Festivals of Speed here in Orlando . This annual car show takes place at the Ritz Carlton Orlando and features some of the finest cars in the country, many of which would never be seen if it weren’t for such a great show. This event has become a showcase for the finest luxuries in life, and features displays from some of the most well respected brands in the world including Bugatti, Rolls Royce, Panerai, and Lamborghini. The event encompasses the entire weekend and starts with a kickoff party in a private jetport featuring aircrafts, boats, cars, and many premium brand displaying and sampling their products. We’ve always enjoyed attending as spectators, however this year we were provided the privilege of not just attending, but displaying some of our great automotive creations as well. We brought a wide variety of cars to showcase the diversity of services we are able to provide here at Titan Motorsports.
The cars in our booth included : James Stewart Sr. Completely Custom 66 Chevrolet Chevelle, Green 997 Porsche GT3RS, Titan Motorsports Yellow 996tt, Titan Motorsports Camouflage 996tt race car, Matte Black Renntech CLK Black Series, BMW Z4M Coupe and Dr. Nicks TRD Widebody Supra.
I would like to take a moment to personally thank our great clients who put their cars on display, as well as Leslie for making sure the booth looked great at all times. We’re looking forward to displaying at many future shows both locally and across the state, and can’t wait for the next Festivals of Speed here in Orlando.
