Event Coverage : Don Omar presents Drag Mania at PBIR

Don Omar hosted Drag Mania at Palm Beach International Raceway, showcasing a heads up import drag race along with a concert. Titan Motorsports was on hand to support New Generation with their new rotary powered RX8 drag car while we complete their 2JZ powered Solara. The team finished the day without the event win, however the did set a new 20B 3 rotor world record with a 6.486 @ 211.67 pass down the 1320.

We just hooked up Nigel Colfer with some parts for his 1JZ powered 180SX across the pond and he sent us this great video of his car in action. We’re happy to be in a position to helping grassroots and professional motorsports teams with their parts needs regardless of their geographic location.

The ATI Supra Bellhousing allows you to bolt any ATI SuperCase encased Powerglide right up to your Supra motor without any adapter plates or cut-off bellhousings. With the ATI SuperCase design you have the bellhousing registered to the case and pump to alleviate any alignment troubles from other manufacturers. Requires an ATI 9″ Torque Converter, flexplate and crank adapter. Case and Bell are SFI 4.1 and 30.1 certified.

The 10th Anniversary edition of Dsport Magazine (September 2012 edition) just hit newsstands and lists Nero Deliwala / Titan Motorsports in their list of the top 10 tuners of the past 10 years. Pick up your issue and check it out for yourselves, there’s also quite a few 2JZ powered vehicles in their list of the Top 10 most powerful imports.

Titan Motorsports releases 3.5L 2JZ Stroker Kit

Taking the old hot rod statement “There’s no Replacement for Displacement” to heart, we went to work and developed a new 3.5L stroker kit for the 2JZ.  Increasing the factory displacement by .5L to increase low end torque and horse power and reduce turbo lag.  Using one of our Titan Motorsports True Billet Crankshaft designed for our 3.5L, we increased the stroke by 10mm to 96mm, increasing the displacement to 3.5L.  The Titan Motorsports 3.5L Billet Crankshaft also features a 1.88″ rod bearing which allows a wider range of bearing options as well as a larger variety of bearing materiel availability over factory sized Toyota bearings. The Billet Crankshaft is complimented by Custom Titan Motorsports / CP Pistons in 87mm bore, and Custom Titan Motorsports / Carrillo H-Bream connecting Rods with Upgraded Rod Bolts both built to our specifications.  The recommended maximum RPM limit for this kit is 9,000 RPM when combined with proper camshaft selection and a lightweight valve train.

Titan Motorsports releases Modified Oil Pump for 2JZ Engines

Titan Motorsports is proud to introduce its performance oil pump for the Toyota 2JZ engine. Titan begins with an brand new OEM Toyota Oil pump and performs a complete disassembly and inspection prior to upgrade. The factory tolerances are verified and any imperfections are deburred for precise fitment. The pressure and feed sides both receive exstensive porting to improve increased flow and to prevent cavitation.   When completed with the modification the pump is pressure cleaned before being reassembled to factory specifications and painted black for improved aesthetics. No core exchange is needed for this process as all pumps start with a brand new unit that is factored into the retail price of $399.00.

Titan Motorsports 2JZ Modified Crank Timing Gear

At Titan Motorsports we have spent years developing the popular 2JZ engine and experienced plenty of parts failures both big and small. In our quest to creating reliable horsepower with the 2JZ platform we are constantly developing parts to solve these problems as they occur. One such common issue is the timing pickup will often twist from the main timing belt gear causing a trigger error and preventing the engine from properly syncing. We modify the OEM Toyota Timing Pulley to Titan Motorsports specifications to solve this problem and fortify this connection. Starting with a brand new factory Toyota timing gear, we carefully stitch weld the timing pickup sensor to the main gear locking them in place permanently and preventing slippage.

This gear is sold as a complete unit that is based off a brand new core part from Toyota, as a result there is no core charge required.

Here is the TITAN Motorsports sponsored SATS Cosworth Drift Team final video report of the year from the last round of the Maxxis Tyres (UK) British Drift Championship. Featuring 14 mins of top class drift action, interviews, and as it’s the last report, a roundup of the year is also included. With just 3 points separating the Supra from the top spot, the SATS Cosworth Drift Team was truly, on the EDGE OF GLORY.
