We just completed another beautiful interior upgrade for a customers MKIV Supra. This particular vehicle arrived with a set of aftermarket seats and reupholstered door panels, however the owner was unhappy with the work done by a previous shop. We scrapped the aftermarket seats that were in the car and opted for a set of Sparco Torinos. The factory covers were removed and replaced with a custom stitched set using high quality leather, suede, and white diamond quilt stitching. This theme continued with the door panels which also received black suede inserted with white quilt stitching, and fresh leather armrests. The end result is an updated interior that is right at home in any exotic, and this particular Supra will feel right at home in the garage next to it’s stablemate, a Lamborghini Gallardo.
What better way to bring in the New Year then to add not one but two superchargers to your ride. That is exactly what we have planned for this stunning Ferrari F430 you see pictured here.
Novitec is once again flying in their Ferrari specialists to Titan Headquarters to complete the supercharger install. We have had great success working with the people of Novitec. Their workmanship is top notch, and their component quality is second to none. We are proud to be able to facilitate another Ferrari build here at Titan Motorsports. I went out to run my car this weekend at the War of the Imports event we had at my local track. I just recently got a custom suspension set up from Titan Motorsports and it seems to have worked well, shaving off a tenth off my previous fastest pass ever. We still have some dialing in to do, but we will save that for an actual day of testing and not during an event. I wanted to run 8’s so bad today but man with it being over 90 degrees out and the track just getting worse and worse each pass, it just wasn’t going to happen. Hopefully this winter my ET’s will drop lower and lower! Thanks To Darin for getting the car all set up to run, and Titan for getting this suspension made up rather quickly. There will be more info on the suspension soon. I will say the car felt waaayyyy more stable all around on the track, and my first pass of the day I got my best 60’s ever, which was a 1.37. I am still pretty heavy (the car), I weighed it and it was 3400lbs (3393 to be exact). Here’s the video.
Basic breakdown of the slip was
1.39 60′
5.98 1/8
127mph
9.04 1/4
161mph
We have been turning out some really nice upholstery pieces ever since we added our interior division to the Titan line up. We are able to update any interior piece on any car. Whether is be the headliner, seats, arm rest, shift boot, you name it and we can do. Here are a few examples of our most recent work. The perforated leather is a nice update to the Supra interior.
We recently recieved our custom powder coated 790R HREs back and they do look mean. The fronts are 19×10 and the rears are a massive 20×13. These have been ordered for the green Supra that was shipped in from the UK, which you may remember from previous posts.
Here are a few pictures after the tires were put on.
Our good customer and long time friend of Titan, Joshua Barnes, who some of you may remember from the April issue of DSPORT earlier in the year, recently had a chance to take his purpose built Supra on the banks of Daytona International Speedway. Here is a video of his warm up lap, and a montage of some of the cars he passed that day. Enjoy…
Want more power for your new Camaro? Magna Charger has a new supercharger that will help with that. The Magna Charger kit claims to make “a real-world 492 rear wheel HP, and 455 Ft. lbs. of rear wheel torque!”
The Camaro Magna Charger Supercharger Systems come complete with all components necessary for installation. Included in the kit is the cast aluminum intake manifold, factory “push-lock connectors” are utilized in the fuel system for installation ease, intercooler core, coolant circulation pump, heat exchanger and all necessary hardware to make a complete installation package. This system does not require any hood modifications. Other components include new high capacity fuel injectors, and fuel rails. The hand held computer programmer communications with the factory ECU for proper calibration of the supercharger system.
Our initial impression was good; all parts included and detailed instructions to accompany. Everything was pretty straight forward, and took less than a day to install, as indicated by Magna Charger.
This system is 100% bolt on, and comes with a standard 3-year limited warranty or an optional 3-year powertrain warranty. Look for a follow up post, where we get some dyno time, and truly test the new found performance.
This weekend one of our great customers and friends Joshua Barnes took his MKIV Supra Turbo to Daytona for the annual PCA DE and Club Race. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Joshua aiding in the preparation and upgrades to the car over the years for road course driving. Joshua is a seasoned driver and PCA Instructor, however this was his first trip to the high banks of Daytona, so he had quite a bit to take in. Overall the car performed as expected, flawlessly, and Joshua was able to enjoy the 3.56 mile road course for 5-6 hours over the course of 3 days. Joshua’s road course experience has all be done on a a bone stock long block, another great testament to the reliability and over-engineering that went into the MKIV that made it such a legend
The Sport Compact Fall Nationals will take place this weekend, October 3rd & 4th, at Englishtown’s Raceway Park. Titan’s very own John Ferguson will be piloting the IPG Civic of James Innes at this weekend’s event.
After recent testing at Orlando Speedway, the engine had a little unexpected wear, and was torn down and rebuilt here at Titan, in preparation for this weekend’s race. In addition to some super-secret engine and turbo modifications, the civic also got a fresh face lift, with a new front bumper to match the flared fenders. The car now not only looks meaner, but sounds it too, and is ready to give the guys in the Outlaw FWD class a run for their money.
