Titan Motorsports Copper Demo GTR Receives Interior Upgrade

July 9th, 2013 Comments off

One of the largest complaints about the Nissan GTR from magazines and other reviewers was that the interior was far too bland. The exterior of the car and raw performance put it in the same arena as many vehicles that cost 2-3 times it’s price tag, however once you’re in the car the difference in price becomes much more apparent once you stepped into the interior. Having already completed a number of full leather upgrades in customers cars we knew we had to raise the bar a bit for our in progress demo GTR, and boy have we ever. We chose a high quality black napa leather for the material for this build as its soft smooth finish and a bright sunburst stitching that matched closely to our Titan Copper exterior. Drawing inspiration from modern hyper cars we decided to branch out from the standard diamond stitching that is becoming common place these days and worked to incorporate a swooping diamond pattern that straightens out as the panels get taller on both the front and rear seats. The headliner was recovered in Alcantara with tasteful panel work stitched in to give it some much needed dimension. We weren’t done there, in addition to the seats we also re-vamped the dash panels in the same napa and orange treatment. Our Titan Motorsports bolt in roll bar was custom painted copper as well to round out this interior.

We can handle any interior upholstery job big or small here at Titan Motorsports. While we are physically located located in Orlando, thanks to our daily international shipments, our work can be seen all over the world in various vehicles. Due to the number of available material, stitching and pattern options interiors are quoted on an individual vehicle basis, so call or email to receive a quotation.

A Double Dose of Titan Motorsports demo Nissan GTRs

December 27th, 2012 Comments off

As experts in import and turbocharged performance we’ve often been asked our thoughts on the Nissan GTR platform as it so closely resembles a modern version of the Supra in terms of it’s tune-ability and fan fare among the performance community. We’ve been building and installing parts for these cars since they were released but felt it was finally time to purchase one for the shop to demo and further develop parts for the hardcore enthusiast. In true Titan fashion we decided not to purchase just one GTR, but rather 2. The two cars have already been extensively upgraded, one will remain a more street-able version that our customers can relate to, the second will be involved in an extreme full build.

First up is our Sales Manager Eric Kerwin’s 2010 Nissan GTR in Brilliant White Pearl. The car features the first set of HRE’s new C106S, a conical version of their new 6 spoke 106 wheel. The wheels were finished in a unique matte gold center and gloss gold lip to provide extra contrast against the brilliant pearl white paint. The factory run flats were removed in favor of Michelin Pilot SuperSport tires in 285/35/20 335/30/20 sizings, a tire upgrade we feel is one of the best bang for you buck upgrades available for the GTR currently. The car was lowered using KW’s sleeve coil over kit which allows the ride height to be adjusted while maintaing the factory electronic suspension controls. We also installed our popular Titan Motorsports Bolt in GTR roll bar to keep the car legal at the track.

With the suspension and wheels taken care of, some extra power was needed to help round out the car and make Eric’s daily commute a bit quicker. Speed By Design Intakes, Midpipe, Downpipe and Exhaust were installed on the car. We also added a set of Speed By Design upgraded fuel pumps and Injector Dynamics ID1000 injectors before tuning the car with a custom Titan Motorsports tune delivered through the Cobb Access Port. Eric’s car was designed around delivering basic performance upgrades that any GTR owner can have installed in a weeks time or less providing for significant improvements in all aspects of the vehicle without sacrificing the ability to be daily driven. Nero’s gray GTR current features a nearly mirror image of the upgrades to Eric’s car but will be undergoing the knife soon as it will get a fully built complete with our Titan Motorsports Stroker kit, upgraded turbos and fuel system in hopes of becoming king of the streets.

Axis vs Allied Powers

June 28th, 2011 Comments off

Titan Motorsports has had the pleasure of working on a wide variety of cars these last few months, and the shop has been busier than the beaches of Normandy in ’44! With that said, we have a bit of a “Power” struggle going on in the shop right now; Axis vs. Allies!

We’ll start with the “Allies”. Here we have a perfect American example. Not surprising it makes over-kill power, backed up with a muscular, menacing presence. This big boy is supercharged and ready to overpower opponents on a whim.

Here we have more of a refined approach. Similar to its “Allied” counter-part here, it too is supercharged, much like many of the British Spitfire and American P-51 Mustangs of WWII.

Representing the “Axis Powers” we start with a German example. This BMW 650i represents the performance “War Machine” that is BMW. Each of their cars may have a different level of luxury, but they all get a healthy dose of power and performance straight from the factory

Finally, we round out the “Axis Powers” with this Italian performer, who definitely shows close ties with its German affiliates (namely using many German parts). With attention to detail, and power to boot, this Bull is ready for anything the “Allies” can throw at it.

So, which side do you think would win our World War Shop Battle?

Titan Motorsports Twin Turbo Lamborghini

Yoshihiko Yamada, President of Denso, takes a ride in the Titan Motorsports Lamborghini Gallardo Twin Turbo while visiting our Orlando headquarters. In its current configuration, the car makes over 850 horsepower at the wheels on the factory engine utilizing 93 octane pump gasoline and 1090 on C16 race fuel. We will let Mr. Yamada’s reaction speak for how terrifyingly quick this all wheel drive machine really is!
