Titan Motorsports Nissan GTR Builds – From Street to Fully Tuned

At Titan Motorsports, we have a long track record of building high-performance Toyota Supra’s and being the industry leader in 2JZ performance. More recently Godzilla has been on the attack, with our tuning shop filled to capacity with a healthy mix of the usual Supras and a ton of R35 Nissan GTR that have produced their own incredible results. Our current GTR builds cover full spectrum from daily driven street cars with basic upgrades to runway attacking half mile track cars.

With 2017 nearly halfway complete we wanted to take a moment and showcase some of our customer and shop builds to illustrate Godzillas potential from mild to wild.

2010 Pearl White R35 with TMS650 Stock Turbo Bolt On Package

The first customer R35 we’d like to showcase is this 2010 Pearl White R35 which receive a full bolt on TMS650 package. This package was bundled together with:

– 1000cc Injector Dynamics fuel injectors
– Deatschwerks 265LPH fuel pump
– TiAL blow-off valves
– Titan Motorsports intake system with an intercooler

With all these modifications and a tune developed by Titan Motorsports, this R35 sits at a comfortable 605HP; adding 50+ horsepower from the stock layout. Usually, we recommend installing an exhaust system with modifications this lite but this Zilla was already equipped with a Fabworx titanium exhaust. The owner operates a powder coating business and used the car as a showpiece for this business by coating the piping and intake manifold in a metallic copper high temp coating. The contrast of colors between the bolt on parts, the black accents surrounding them, and the Pearl White engine bay makes this car stand out with a unique flare.

Black Switzer Performance R35 Updated

This particular 2010 GTR was one of the earliest Switzer Performance builds, the team at Switzer are known for their flawless upgrade packages and this car is no differ. Being an early Switzer P800, this Obsidian Black R35 was showing a bit of its age when it arrived for a fresh transmission upgrade by ShepTrans. While the transmission was out being upgraded we took the time to service the car and update some of the aging items to current technology before retuning the car to make the most of the changes.

Not One Daily Should Have All That Power

             Eric Kerwin of Titan Motorsports wanted to build a daily that would crush any punk that rolled up on him.  Pushing just over 1,000HP, Eric’s 2010 Pearl White R35 GT-R is the epitome of the ultimate daily. When Eric bought his R35 years ago he immediately went for the biggest bang for his buck. At one point, there was a stock VR38DTT in Erics R35 but after Titan got their hands on it there is nothing stock about it. The new Titan 3.8L Engine is built with:

– Titan Motorsports H11 Main Studs
– Titan Motorsports H11 Head Studs
– Titan heads with STD Ferrea valves, Beehive single springs, and titanium retainers. Ferrea valve seals, guides, and locks
– Titan Stage 3 cams with 276 duration and 11.76 lift
– Titan Lightweight Battery Kit
– Titan Crank Damper
– CP Custom Billet Forged 9.5:1 Carrillo Pistons
– Manley Rods Turbo Tuff rods
– King Engine Race bearings in STD size
– Full Blown 1100HP turbo kit with GTX3071R turbos on factory manifolds with upgraded Forge Motorsports Internal Wastegates.
– New OEM Oil pump

What Else Has Titan Been Working On?

Aside from R35’s coming in for bolt on performance parts we also have R35’s receiving custom fabricated exhausts, intakes, and piping, all being developed at Titan Motorsports. Over the years of getting to work with these R35’s, we’ve started seeing areas in the car that Titan can make an innovative difference in.
