I take great pride in posting stories of the cars we build during our day to day operations here at Titan, but this car is even more special…because it’s my own. After a few months of upgrading and tracking my Z4M I decided it was time to get rid of the OEM competition wheels that were on the car and add a bit of style and class with a set of HRE wheels.
Over the years I’ve sampled various aftermarket wheels on my vehicles, and nothing holds a candle to HRE in terms of fitment and finish. I opted for a set of 19×8.5 and 19×10.5 HRE C20s for the car, the C series combines a step lip with HRE hardware for a lightweight, race inspired wheel, a great fit given my intentions for this car. I love black wheels on my vehicles, however this time I wanted to mix things up a bit and opted for a matte black center with gloss black lips and inner barrels to give a bit of contrast while maintaining a monochromatic look.
For tires I wrapped them in Nitto NT05 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear, I’m anxious to put a bit more miles on these as they have gotten rave reviews for being a great intermediate tire that works well on the track and can still be driven on the street. I’m very pleased with the overall stance of the car now and looking forward to getting it back out on the track.
This morning we had the pleasure of picking up this beautiful CLK Black Series for a series of upgrades we will be installing here at Titan Motorsports. The car was recently wrapped in Matte black vinyl which looks absolutely stunning in person. While this treatment has gotten very popular in recent months almost to the point of saturation, this car definitely pulls the look off better than most. The car in stock form makes 465hp/500tq, however we’re expecting quite a bit more after installing headers/intake/exhaust and an RennTech ECU reflash. The 7speed gearbox makes driving in traffic anything but a chore, while providing smooth crisp shifts during performance driving. A custom cut set of DPE’s is on the way for test fitment complete with matte black center, once we confirm they fit we will be installing them on the vehicle and lowering the improve the vehicles stance.
Our good friend Grant brought his 2000 Viper GTS to our shop for the next round of upgrades to an already impressive vehicle. This isn’t your average Viper, a quick look at the front fender reveals the words “Twin Turbo” right below the emblem. This car had previously been built in Charlotte,NC by world renowned Underground Racing and now features over 1,300whp. The biggest problem behind making such extreme power other than an addiction to the smell of C16, is the need to slow down.
We installed a Stoptech ” Front Big Brake kit which fits nicely behind the 18″ HRE’s on the car, this package will also work with the factory 18″ wheel as well. Stoptech Big Brake kits come complete with their world renowned ST 40 4-piston calipers, 355x32mm lightweight 2-piece floating rotors (in slotted or drilled), Street performance brake pads, and all hardware necessary to adapt them to your vehicle.. Grant opted for the Black calipers, however Stoptech also offers their kits in Silver, Yellow, and Blue. Titan Motorsports can also have the calipers custom painted to match your vehicle for an additional charge (this upgrade is not available directly through Soptech). We finished the upgrade off with Motul RBF600 high temperature fluid, and made sure the proper brake bedding procedures where completed to ensure no pad deposits were left on the rotors..
In addition to being one of Florida largest Soptech dealers, we carry a full selection of brake performance parts from street pads, rotors, stainless lines, as well as Castrol SRF and Motul fluids.
We recently performed a series of performance upgrades to this beautifully maintained BMW 650i. The owner Pete loved the features BMW instilled in the car from factory, however he wanted a bit more power without making any sacrifices in reliability or comfort. The car arrived in immaculate condition and our technicians and service staff made sure the car was treated with the same care the owner had by covering it with the provided BMW car cover each night.
Pete opted for a Britalman catback exhaust, an absolute work of stainless steel art from front to back. Since the exhaust was original designed for a coupe, bit of fabrication to fit this convertible model. The exhaust allowed the cars engine to breathe easier without damaging any crucial emissions components, and provided for a bit deeper sound during spirited driving.
We also combined the exhaust with a Dinan performance package that included an upgrade Airbox, Throttle Body and ECU Reflash. These Dinan components further increased the horsepower and torque of the engine without compromising drivability. Dinan engineers and produces its aftermarket performance products to the highest standards and as a result are warranted for the remaining term of the vehicle manufacturer’s new car limited warranty
In addition to the Britalman exhaust and Dinan parts we obtained, Pete also supplied a BMW original M6 steering wheel and aftermarket angel eyes which we gladly installed during the cars stay.
Titan Motorsports is an authorized dealer for both Dinan and Britalman and offers full service maintenance and tuning for most modern BMWs at our Orlando facility.
We had the pleasure of working on our first 2010 Camaro in the shop last week. Our UPS rep Jon had just taken delivery and was looking to have the windows tinted to protect his investment and keep his trick interior cool.
Prior to taking delivery of the car it was shipped to DSV Customs for a complete interior refresh. All panels where wrapped in black leather with matching blue stitching and a custom SS embroidered logos in the headrest. The end result is a unique interior that looks and feels like it was transplanted from a car 2-3 times the Camaros cost.
We’ve just scratched the surface of what’s to come for this Camaro, Jon has big ambitions for this project and we’re glad to help him throughout the journey.
In the eyes of any car enthusiast, there can always be more. No matter how much you modify your car, and no matter how happy it makes you, there’s always that next part, that next set of wheels, or that next paint scheme. This is very much the case with our latest arrival to the Titan Motorsports holding pen. David Price has brought his beautiful green Supra all the way from the United Kingdom to have the crew at Titan give it a complete makeover. The car is being repainted (same color), will be receiving a fresh set of HRE wheels, as well as a fully built Titan motor. If this Supra was mean and green before, it’s going to be Bruce Banner Bad-Ass when we are done with it. We will be posting pictures of the entire build, so stay tuned for frequent updates.
The wild Supra we built for Dr. Nick Angelastro was recently featured in Top Performance, a great magazine targeting the Middle East. This Supra was built from the ground up from an NA Automatic Shell, here at Titan Motorsports. Full details on the build can be found in the article in snapshots below for those who do not have access to this great magazine on their local newsstand.
It’s not a common occurrence to see an Aston Martin on the streets, and even more rare when it’s an aftermarket SuperCharged Aston. We had the pleasure of servicing this ESX Supercharged Vantage dubbed the “SuperVantage” which received a pulley upgrade and additional tuning. An ACT clutch was also added to make sure the drive line could handle the extra power being produced by the Supercharged 4.3L V8. We handled all aspects of the service for the customer including transport to and from our location, allowing our customer to focus on other priorities while we do what we do best, create reliable horsepower.
Quite frequently we get emails and calls from potential customers looking to research a car they do not own yet. Matt Powell contacted us about a month back while investigating the purchase of a Porsche turbo to receive our K24/18G upgrade. About a week later Matt called to let me know that he located a car in Tampa and was having it delivered to us to be upgraded prior to him taking delivery. The dealership performed a PPI inspection prior to delivering the car to us, however we took some extra time to check the car out and baseline the car on our dyno, discovering the car already has a ECU flash to optimize the factory turbos. Over the next few days we installed our popular K24/18G kit featuring EPL Tuning with ECU controlled boost control. The car also also received a set of our Standard Issue diverter valves and a Clutch Master Stage 3 clutch upgrade with a new Porsche dual mass flywheel to be sure the driveline was able to handle the extra torque produced by the upgrades.
After finalizing the upgrades we again put the car on our DynoJet and the car spun the rollers to 565whp/556tq picking up an impressive 113whp and 79tq all on 93 octane. Again these numbers where in addition to the factory ECU already having a performance flash optimized for the factory turbos, making the gain even more impressive. Matt now has one screamer of a Porsche, I’m sure the extra power made the 12 hour drive back to Mississippi much easier and quicker!

As we continue to expand the scope of our operations, the Porsche marque has been getting quite a bit more attention here at Titan. We’ve had a blast building our camouflage 996tt, and have enjoyed the influx of new customers who trust their Porsches with us for parts install and tuning. One such Porsche owner is SCCA ITS Champ Kip Van Steenburg. Kip runs his 994S in the ITS class and has had great success in doing so. We just got done completing another round of Motec tuning in Kips 944S on our in-ground Dynojet.
