Piston side loads increase with boost pressure, longer stroke crankshafts and even aftermarket camshafts! JE Pistons new asymmetrical forging design maintains a larger skirt area on the heavily stressed major thrust side, while reducing friction with a smaller skirt area on the minor thrust side. The result is a high strength, lightweight piston that significantly reduces friction in your engine!

Designed specifically for high boost/high cylinder pressure applications, the new CNC Billet 2JZ-GTE piston from Titan Motorsports is the pinnacle of piston manufacturing. These pistons feature an asymmetrical design which accommodates for higher side loads. The wide skirt area on the major thrust face increases bearing area to better handle side loads related to high RPM and/or long stroke crankshafts, and the narrow skirt on the minor thrust side helps to reduce friction. The wide skirt area also accommodates proper use of the oil squirter to effectively spray into the center void for proper piston cooling. The entire piston is machined from certified 2618-T6 aluminum bar stock that has been inspected several times prior to machining. The billet design is approximately 15-20 grams lighter than the forged version and is over 30 grams lighter than most other aftermarket pistons.
