Copper Supra To Be Rebuilt –Better Than Ever!

June 27th, 2011 Comments off

The Titan Motorsports Copper Supra wasn’t in Japan, but it is from Japan, and it too was involved in an unavoidable disaster back in March (click for video). Now, it too has begun the rebuilding process.

As with many things that break, we have now been presented with the perfect opportunity to update and upgrade. The Copper Supra (not always copper) has been racing hard since the early 2000’s and has gone under the knife many times. Each time it has come back stronger and faster than before. This time will be no different.

With updates and revisions including larger turbo and manifold, new roll cage, as well as upgraded suspension components, the once record-holder is eager to get back on the track and once again strut its stuff. Be on the lookout for more news and updates on the Copper Supra as it prepares for NSCRA in December.

Titan Preps for TX2K11

February 28th, 2011 Comments off

In the waning days leading up to Texas 2K11, Team Titan has been pedal to the metal getting the Copper Supra back into sprinting shape. Although the Supra had run a 7.66@188.44mph in its last outing over a year ago, there were still a few “cobwebs” to be cleared (and some actual ones too). So it’s been out with the old, and in with the new, including a new header design, custom built by Titan Motorsports, and a custom set of Driveshaft Shop Axles.

Here you can see the new manifold…

Additionally, The Team will be testing new turbo combinations next week at the Shakedown at Palm Beach, where the Supra will later go on to run in the Pro Import Class, with the Pro Scion running in Pro Mod.

New Precision Turbo…

“We are extremely excited to be racing the Supra again” says owner Nero Deliwala. The Supra will be running in the Unlimited Class at TX2K11, and will be looking to once again put a few numbers in the record books.

Since she rarely comes out of hibernation these days, I figured I’d snap a few shots of the infamous Copper Supra out in the wild. Enjoy.

Titan Preps Supra for NSCRA

November 13th, 2009 Comments off

In preparation for the upcoming NSCRA event on Dec 6th, the crew at Titan Motorsports has been ripping apart the Copper Supra, to make sure it is running at the top of its game. Here are a few snaps of this week’s progress.

Nitrous Express has been supporting all of our racing programs since the very beginning; well today they surprised us with an overnight box full of goodies to update our nitrous systems. This would be the first time since we switch over to the 91mm setup that Brett has the opportunity to setup the nitrous kits as needed for this turbo/converter combination.

Also it seems our Strange Brakes were not letting the front wheel spin freely, so we are having them rebuilt. More of the little things that seem to be holding this car back for some time now are finally being addressed.

Suede Interior Upgrade : MKIV Supra

September 30th, 2008 1 comment

Here at Titan Motorsports, we have the great fortune of seeing great Supras day in and day out. As a result, it takes quite a bit for a MKIV part to impress me. Last year I sold my Titan Copper Supra, a car many consider to be one of the finest street Supras in the country. The car was purchased by Cavin Green in Ohio, and while close to a finished canvas, the one missing piece of the puzzle was the interior. I had fitted Sparco seats and a roll bar in the car, however it still lacked that finishing touch to put it over the top, as the rest of the car had. Today the last pieces of the puzzle arrived in the dash, door panels, glove box and center console where all wrapped in black Alcantara with suede stitching. It looks amazing on its own, I can’t wait to see how it looks installed.
