TMS Stage 2 Auto Transmission

March 24th, 2010 Comments off

The TMS Stage 2 Transmission is a great performance upgrade for any street/strip Supra. Rated at 750-800 rear wheel horsepower, this transmission has been thoroughly tested both on and off the track on a daily driven street car. Proven to 9.44 @ 151.50 and tested beyond its rated 800rwhp capability, you can be assured of reliability with this transmission.

Included in the build is a full upgrade of your transmission, including a Billet Aluminum Forward Piston made out of 6061 Aluminum. In the upgrade Titan will go through the complete transmission and do an extensive upgrade including a modification of the valve body, all yielding a more reliable transmission that can handle a substantial amount of power. All major o-rings, gaskets, and seals are changed. In addition, Titan has taken it one step further then other transmissions on the market. We have built in a smooth yet firm shift into our transmissions. That “thump” you get with other autos is not a sign of power or a race transmission. With the TMS Trans, that “thump” is a thing of the past. Faster shifting is the goal, and the TMS Stage 2 Transmission provides just that, with the reliability you’ve come to expect from all TMS products.

Titan Motorsports Races ADRL Dragpalooza VI

March 23rd, 2010 Comments off

This weekend Team Titan, with the XTF Scion and XPS Cobalt, made the trip out to Texas to run the Dragpalooza VI at Houston Raceway Park.

After a couple of good qualifying passes on Friday night, the weather rolled in Saturday just as Pro Extreme was tacking to the track to begin qualifying. The wind picked up, temperatures dropped, and the rain began to fall. The race had to be called off.

Later, American Drag Racing League (ADRL) President and CEO Kenny Nowling made the announcement to reschedule the race and the creation of a brand-new, double-header event in response to the rainout of the ADRL’s season-opener.

The ADRL and Team Titan will return July 23-24, to Houston Raceway Park (HRP), where Dragpalooza VI will be completed in its entirety that Friday, with an all-new, yet-to-be-named ADRL national event now scheduled for the same weekend.

Although the race was canceled, we did manage to get some good qualifying passes in. Check them out:

Titan Tests For New Season

January 22nd, 2010 Comments off

With the ADRL season quickly approaching, it was time to wake up the sleeping giants, and get them in racing shape. The first to come out of hibernation was the newly acquired XPS Titan Cobalt of Mark Martino. The team made the trip to Bradenton Motorsports Park for a little test and tune. After making suspension adjustments and a few tweaks here and there, the car was able to run a fastest time of 4.068 @ 176.99, backing it up with a very quick 4.096. With these new times nearing record breaking ETs, the new XPS car of Titan Motorsports looks to be right on track for another successful year of ADRL racing.
