This past weekend, Bradenton Motorsports Park hosted the 1st annual Import Face-Off. There have been quite a few Import Face-Off events throughout the country already this year, with 22 shows total for the entire tour. The Bradenton event overall was somewhat mediocre though. Attendance was a bit low, but many of the cars there were of good quality, and the hot body contest was a plus too. The most disappointing aspect of the event was the fact that the proper preparations for the track was over looked, causing less than ideal conditions. Hopefully the Import Face-Off events will return next year and hopefully is improved upon. We look forward to next year’s tour. Here are a few pictures of the event:
ARP – The world leader in fastener technology has just released a new Pro Series ARP2000 main stud kit for 2008 and later Mitsubishi 2.0L (4B11) Turbo and Non Turbo applications.
Part No. 207-5403 – includes a set of ten, M10 ARP2000 main studs, a set of ten, M8 ARP2000 main studs, twenty 8740 chromemoly steel 12 pt nuts and a 1/2 oz. pack of ARP Ultra-Torque fastener assembly lubricant.
All Pro Series ARP2000 studs are centerless ground, heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining, and are nominally rated at 220,000 psi. These fasteners deliver a 50% increase in tensile strength over the OEM main bolts.
This weekend one of our great customers and friends Joshua Barnes took his MKIV Supra Turbo to Daytona for the annual PCA DE and Club Race. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Joshua aiding in the preparation and upgrades to the car over the years for road course driving. Joshua is a seasoned driver and PCA Instructor, however this was his first trip to the high banks of Daytona, so he had quite a bit to take in. Overall the car performed as expected, flawlessly, and Joshua was able to enjoy the 3.56 mile road course for 5-6 hours over the course of 3 days. Joshua’s road course experience has all be done on a a bone stock long block, another great testament to the reliability and over-engineering that went into the MKIV that made it such a legend

With the ADRL World Finals just weeks away, the crew at Titan Motorsports has been diligently working to ensure the car is prepared for the biggest race of the season. Dalton McGuire is an Auto Body/Auto Mechanics major at the Wilkes Community College and will be our special guest to help assist the team as we compete in the ADRL World Finals V, in Ennis Texas. McGuire has been a fan of Titan Motorsports for some time now, and had a chance to meet with the team at the Rockingham event back in September. Dalton told us, “My passion is cars….I love anything to do with cars, working on them, driving them and just hanging out with others who share my passion.
