Jeff Ippoliti brought his Ferrari 355 Challenge by the shop to have it tuned by Felix Medina on our Dynojet prior to the FCRA Race at Sebring. It’s by far one of the best sounding cars we’ve ever had on our dyno, make sure you have your speakers turned up for this one.

Jotech is the new dealer for Titan Gallardo Twin Turbo packages (available from mild to wild) and will also be a service center for the Titan Gallardo Twin Turbo packages.

T1 R35 Fuel Rail Kit

May 3rd, 2011 Comments off

Check out the new R35 Fuel Rail Kit from T1 Race Development/Injector Dynamics. Injector Dynamics has many different fuel injector options, and now these larger injectors can be used in the R35. The ID1600’s are too long to fit the R35. The factory rail can be modified for height but then it hits the intake manifold. The T1 rails are designed for the longer injector (12mm longer than stock).

These rails are all 1 piece, no secondary mounting brackets or adaptors for the fuel damper and regulator. It made machining them a lot more work, but at the end of the day it’s a better way to do it and it eliminates any possibility of mounting brackets coming loose or anything. The factory damper and regulator bolt on and in the same position as the stock rails, so these rails are 100% bolt on.

Fuel temperature is another issue that is often overlooked. The cylinder heads are hot and a lot of heat gets transfered from the heads, to the rails, to the fuel. We’ve incorporated 1/4″ phenolic spacers between the heads and rails. Phenolic has excellent insulation properties, keeping as much heat out of the fuel rail as possible.

The kit also includes Goodridge fittings and line to connect the two rails behind the timing cover. Goodridge’s top of the line components were used, the ‘G Line XF’ line is constructed of woven super light Aramid braid, with a PTFE inner bore – smooth inside for increased flow and convoluted outside for amazing flexibility. The hose is fully compatible with all fuels, including methanol. The lightweight crimp on hose ends ensure a leak free seal and light weight.

The complete rail kit consists of both fuel rails, all Goodridge black anodized fittings and hose, SS mounting hardware, and phenolic spacers.

Injector adaptors required for ID1000’s and ID2000’s.

SATS Cosworth/Titan Supra BDC Round 1

SATS Cosworth at Round 1 of the British Drift Championship from Ciaran Smith on Vimeo.

Check out this video of the SATS Cosworth Supra, along with its sponsors, including Titan Motorsports, tearing it up during round 1 of the British Drift Championships. The team has been working really hard to get the car prepared this season, and so far, the car is looking very strong. Below is the press release of the events prepared by SATS Cosworth:

The weekend of the 22nd and 23rd April saw the SATS Cosworth Supra sponsored by Titan Motorsports make its competitive debut at the Maxxis British Drift Championship, which was held at Donington Park.

The pressure was definitely on for the team after months of development work on the car, and with huge build up and publicity campaign for the car’s first outing, the team didn’t want to disappoint and they didn’t, the whole team delivered with a magnificent performance, coming 1st in the qualification on the Saturday Morning with a score of 93 points.

In the Afternoon it was on to the main Top 16 competition and after some hard fought battles against some of the country’s best drivers and machinery Mark Luney and Team SATS Cosworth went on to take top spot on the podium and go top of the Super Pro class in the Championship.

This was helped massively by the all the SATS Cosworth sponsors and partners who have been behind the team all winter helping develop the car to what it is today and without their constant support the win would not have been possible.

Speaking afterwards, team driver Mark Luney said,
“For the past six months, the team and I have been working on, and developing, the car alongside Cosworth, Maxxis and our many partners, the pressure was definitely on to take a top 3 spot. To take top spot in both qualifying and the competition is an endorsement of all that effort.”

“Last year, we used Maxxis Tyres at all of the events, and they helped us immensely to get to the podium on several occasions and now with Maxxis behind us as a partner supplying us with their MAZ1 Drift Tyre we have repeated last year’s success at the Donnigton Track. However, it was the first competitive event where we were using our new Meister-R brakes suspension and brake setup, Titan Motorsports stage 4 Head setup, as well as the VP Racing Fuel, so I am sure you can imagine the team and I were slightly tentative. After our first run though, all of our worries went out of the window, as the car delivered everything we expected, plus more!”

He continued,
“We’re not going to stop here though, and will continue to put 100% into the car in preparation for round 2 of the championship, where once again we will be aiming for the podium spot.”

Koenigsegg CCXR Revisited – Fast Five

April 29th, 2011 Comments off

Last year we had the privilege of visiting a great private collection here in Orlando that featured an array of rare super cars. While watching Fast Five last night I saw some familiar faces, without spoiling the movie I thought it would be a perfect time to revisit this beautiful collection.

Fun Fact : This CCX-R Edition is 1 of 6 in the world, but only 1 of 2 with the automatic paddle shifter.

Thanks once again to my good friend Jon Springer for allowing access to this great collection.

Barry Larkin’s Supercharged Jaguar XJ L

April 27th, 2011 Comments off

When you’re an 12 time MLB All star and wear a World Series ring, driving a stock vehicle just isn’t going to cut it. Even when that stock vehicle is Jaguars latest flagship sedan the Supercharged XJL. No stranger to custom vehicles, Barry Larkin dropped this beautiful black XJL at Titan Motorsports for a host of upgrades to ensure it stood out from the crowd.

Barry chose a set of Lexani 22″ LSS-10 in a staggered fitment wrapped in Pirelli rubber for this Jag. With limited fitments available for this brand new make, the original color options weren’t unique enough, so the wheels were sent out for a custom silver and black paint job. To compliment the new wheels, the factory emblems and taillights were also blacked out giving the car a stealthy look. Limo tint was applied to keep the Florida sun from drying out the beautiful extended leather interior and maintain privacy. The end result is a sleek cruiser guaranteed to provide comfort and plenty of looks during I4 rush hour.

Volvo V8-TT

A while back I snapped a few shots of this Volvo that had come in for some dyno tuning. It looks fairly unassuming from the outside…

But under the hood this Volvo was flexing some twin turbo V8 power.

The Wagon also sports a beefy set of Mickey Thompson tires…

..and a drag suspension setup to help this grocery getter down the 1320.

There shouldn’t be any problem getting the ice cream home before it melts with this bad boy.

Watch Fast Five FIRST!!

April 20th, 2011 Comments off

Wow, we are on the fifth installment of the Fast & Furious! It seems like just yesterday that the iconic film hit the big screen and helped bring the Import scene into full swing. You’ve all seen the movies. Some parts make you laugh, others cry, (Motec exhausts and welds blowing on the intake manifold to name a few!), but all in all pretty descent movies, and sometimes some pretty descent cars too.

This year, to celebrate the release of Fast Five on April 29th, Titan Motorsports has found a few tickets for an advanced screening of the movie on April 26th. We actually have 10 available, and each ticket is good for 2 people (bring a friend).

The First TEN people who come into Titan, bring a receipt of purchased products from Titan (or buy something then), and mention this blog post gets a ticket. We also have a few posters, t-shirts and stickers to give out too. Come by and see us!
