One of our good customers, Ebrahim Kanoo, sent us this video of his Supra dynoing in Bahrain. Some of the go fast goodies include a Motec M800 ecu, Injector Dynamics ID2000 injectors, and a 3.4L Titan Motorsports motor and S4 head.
At Titan Motorsports, we never get tired of seeing people pushing the limits of possible performance and doing whatever it takes to figure out a winning combination. Sometimes that path is the path less traveled. Take for example Jaw’s Gear & Axle’s Toyota Supra powered Mustang:
Tired of the conventional Blue Oval power, Jeff Wilson of Jaw’s Gear chose to go with a single turbo 2JZ-GTE motor for its reliability, superior strength, and enormous power potential. Jeff will be running in the SCSN event in November and WCHRA in the LT5 class throughout the season, with Titan as a contributing sponsor. With the help of Titan’s high quality race proven parts, Enterprise Motorsport’s outstanding fabrication skills, Dave Engine’s race engine building, back to back championships, Black Sheep Racing technical knowledge, and world renowned tuner John Reed, Jaw’s is ready to sink its teeth into the competition. Best of luck Jeff!
One of our good customers and Supra Forums member Amar Sood was able to drop into the 9’s at TX2K10 with the use of the new TMS Converter. Amar lowered his best ET from a 10.0 to a 9.40 @145mph. Congrats!
We have been tuning cars day in and day out since we’ve installed our new Dyno Jet AWD Dyno. We have been tuning everything from EVOs to BMWs to Porsches to Supras. Obviously a Supra on a Titan Dyno is nothing out of the ordinary, but they are usually MKIVs. Here is a little love for the MKIII guys. This particular MKIII has a 1JZ-GTE swap. We were able coax 454 HP and 372 TQ out of the 1-J.
With its clean looks and power to match, this Mark-Third is ready to give some of the 2-J guys a run for their money.
Here is the dyno graph from the latest Titan turbo kit install. The Precision ball bearing 62mm turbo helped make 489 HP and 405 FT/TQ. As you can se from the graph, the power comes on fairly early in the power band, making for a good streetable car that still has the power to perform.
This last week we finished up another Titan Turbo kit install on this clean 93 auto. Since this car was being converted from a twin turbo setup, the customer opted for a 62mm Precision ball bearing turbo for faster spooling and greater response. Here are a few pictures of the car and the turbo kit installed. We will have a dyno graph to follow shortly.
This beautiful Porsche Carrera S made its way through our shop for some performance upgrades. The owner was looking to use the car for track days and the occasional car show, and wanted a car that handled as well as it looked. We started off by installing a set of KW Variant 3 coilovers and StopTech Big Brake kit front and rear before having the car corner balanced and aligned. A Clutchmasters Clutch was also installed with a lightweight flywheel to make for easier rev matches when tackling local road courses such as Sebring International.
With the performance upgrades out of the way, the customer wanted to make sure the car had an aggressive look to go with the upgraded performance. The customer chose a Vorsteiner front and rear bumper with carbon fiber accents. For the rear wing he wanted to stand out from the pack with a side mounted adjustable wing blade, this particular wing is common in the aftermarket for turbos versions of the 997, but had not been previously made for a Carrera. Rather than tell the customer it was not available we contacted our good friends at MA Shaw who made a custom mold and narrow wing blade for the vehicle. The end results is a wing that is lighter than stock, super functional, all while remaining aesthetically pleasing.
The body shop completed the visual upgrades to the car late last week, just in time for the car to take home a plaque at the 6th Annual Cars for the Cure show this weekend. An award winning Porsche that can comfortable be driven on the street during the week and tear up the track on the weekends, who can argue with that.
We recently had the pleasure of installing a AA Supercharger kit on a customers C6 Corvette convertible. The installation went of the kit went very smooth and was followed up with custom ECU tuning by our in house tuner Darin using HP Tuners software. Titan Motorsports can upgrade all modern Corvettes and Domestics and offer custom tuning on our Dynojet 424 LC2 dyno using HP Tuners.
Living and operating in a major metropolitan area, seeing Ferraris and other exotics becomes a somewhat common occurrence. This particular owner wanted to make his Spyder stand out from the pack and what better way than by adding a twin supercharger kit from Novitec. The Novitec Rosso kit adds twin Rotrex Superchargers to the factory 4.3L V8, combined with Novitec engineered hardware and software upgrades the horsepower is increased to 636HP. The kit adds just as much aesthetic appeal as performance with carbon piping dress panels letting curious onlookers viewing through the F430s glass trunk lid know this isn’t your standard Ferrari. The complete kit takes less than 3 days to install and can be combined with additional suspension, brake and exterior modifications, and even a race kit for those looking to take their Ferrari to an even further level.
