“That’s No Moon…It’s A Space Station!” Ok, so the turbo may not be the size of a space station, but it’s pretty friggin big. The Precision 47-88R is a billet ball bearing turbo, and is spooled by a TMS 3.4L Stroker Motor, TMS Stage 3 Head, and TMS 272, 9.9mm lift cams, just to name a few. With the addition of a 100 shot of nitrous, this customer’s car is making over 1200 to the wheels!

Rained Out In Topeka

July 6th, 2010 Comments off

This July 4th weekend we set out to race the ADRL Independence Drags IV, but Mother Nature had other plans. After once again grabbing the #1 qualifying position in XTF, the steady rain moved in, and the race was eventually called off and postponed. The event will be completed at the ADRL Hardee’s Gateway Drags III on August 7-8 at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, IL, just outside of St. Louis. The completion of final eliminations of the Independence Drags will take place on Friday, with the Gateway Drags to be completed the next day.

Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda, FL

July 3rd, 2010 Comments off

During a recent trip to my hometown of Punta Gorda, I took a few hours to checkout a new attraction generating some buzz, Muscle Car City. Over the past 40 years.Rick Treworgy had assembled one of the largest private collections of cars. After running out of space at various warehouses the cars were scattered across, he decided to purchase an abandoned Walmart and bring his collection into the public eye, and Muscle Car City was born. The collection includes at least one Corvette from 1954-1975, these aren’t run of the mill Vettes either, most are equipped with 427s, manual transmissions and other rare options. The collection isn’t limited to just Corvettes, there are plenty of other 60-70s GM products, assorted hot rods, modern muscle, and even some retro rods sporting modern creature comforts while maintaing a vintage look. If you’re an automotive fan visiting Southwest Florida I suggest blocking off a few hours to check out this one of a kind collection, it’s worth every bit of the $12.50 admission fee.

Titan Motorsports Converter Comparison

July 2nd, 2010 Comments off

Check out the gains of the Titan Motorsports (TMS) converter vs. the Precision Industries (PI) converter. This test was conducted by Alpha at Induction Performance on a stock bottom end, stock head, with HKS 264 camshafts, HKS exhaust manifold, Turbonetics T72 turbocharger, Blitz front mount intercooler, 3″ downpipe, 3″ exhaust, Precision 1000cc fuel injectors, Bosch 044 in-tank fuel pumps (2), AEM Twin-Fire ignition amplifier, Boost Logic built Toyota automatic transmission on E85 with an AEM EMS tuned by Alpha.

We think the results speak for themselves, as many people have been quite satisfied with these new converters. The TMS converters are available in 3200, 3500, and 3800 rpm stall speeds.
