APR GT-R35 Carbon Goodies

May 26th, 2011 Comments off

Looking for the latest in carbon bits for your R35? Check out this selection from APR.

The APR Front Air Dam includes two integrated brake cooling ducts (2.5″ inner diameter). These cooling ducts can be used to attach cooling hoses (not included) that lead to the brake system for maximum braking consistency on the track.

The APR Formula GT3 Carbon Fiber Mirrors are designed to give race inspired looks with the functionality of reducing drag and eliminating blind spots with wide angle mirror lenses.

Made of lightweight and durable carbon fiber composites, APR Side Rocker Extensions help reduce lift at high speeds by preventing air at the sides of the car from rolling underneath the car. The reduced lift helps to stabilize the car during high-speed cornering and helps to increase traction for faster lap times.

Full Carbon Racing Seats by Tillett

April 20th, 2009 2 comments

Here at Titan Motorsports we stock over 165 brands, yet we’re constantly getting requests to add new product lines. This week a customer requested a set of lightweight Tillett Racing seats for his track car, so we added the Tillett product line, ordered the seats, and had another happy customer as a result. If you’re a hardcore weight weenie or carbon fiber junkie, check out these seats from Tillett Racing. Weighing in at just over 6lbs not including mounting hardware, these seats are as light as they come. If you’ve got to ask your wife for permission before purchasing parts, or have a 2 hour commute these likely aren’t for you. After sitting in them for a few minutes in the office, they’re not as uncomfortable as they look, however I still doubt wouldn’t be my first choice for a cross country road trip. For a 20 minute spirited session on the road course, they offer a great way to drop some quick weight while holding the driver in firmly. We now carry the complete Tillett Racing product line, inquire with our knowledgeable sales staff for more information.

Project 996TT Loses more weight and gains downforce all at the same time.

Our Project 996tt is still under the knife getting it’s power plant upgrades and new clutch installed. We thought we had everything we needed, but a $10.00 fuel fitting has put us a few days behind, the new fitting should be here tomorrow so that we can finish the installation and fire the car up in the next 1-2 days. A big thanks to Tony @ EPL for helping us with the fuel system and working on a prototype tune for the big injectors we’ll be running.

In the meantime we received a truck shipment from MA Shaw today that included our new wing and carbon fiber hood. The factory 996TT rear wing has a hydraulic system that raises and lowers the wing to provide down force at higher speeds. While the system works great, it does so at a cost of weight. We’ve been looking for ways to save weight in every portion of our building, so we opted for a new wing. We called MA Shaw in California to build us one of their track wings and lightweight hoods. Their wing is very similar to what you would see on a factory cup car, however it’s slightly smaller in size, and incorporates ducting for the air intake. We opted for GT3RS carbon fiber end plates to give the wing a bit more of a street look as well. We estimate a weight savings of 25-30lbs with the hood, and another 25-30 in the rear as well while improving down force. We also go the last of the parts needed for our GT2 front upgrade, I hope to tackle that tomorrow. Once the latest round of upgrades are complete we will re-weight the car and see where we’re at, more horsepower and less weight is never a bad thing.

Titan Motorsports Carbon Fiber Timing Cover

January 16th, 2009 1 comment

Today we recieved our first sample of the new Carbon Fiber Timing Cover we will be releasing soon for the 2JZ. Over the years we have received many requests for this item, and with no alternatives in the market we decided it was time to begin working on such a piece. Like our other carbon fiber pieces, this piece will be a direct replacement of your lower timing cover, and will match our carbon spark plug cover perfectly. Once fitment is verified we will go to full production with this item and expect a 3-4 week turnaround time. These will be retailed for $329.00 each, however we will be offering the first batch for $299.00 for early adopters. We anticipate the first batch to arrive before TX2K9 for those looking to gain that extra edge in the show and shine.
