In the waning days leading up to Texas 2K11, Team Titan has been pedal to the metal getting the Copper Supra back into sprinting shape. Although the Supra had run a 7.66@188.44mph in its last outing over a year ago, there were still a few “cobwebs” to be cleared (and some actual ones too). So it’s been out with the old, and in with the new, including a new header design, custom built by Titan Motorsports, and a custom set of Driveshaft Shop Axles.
Here you can see the new manifold…
Additionally, The Team will be testing new turbo combinations next week at the Shakedown at Palm Beach, where the Supra will later go on to run in the Pro Import Class, with the Pro Scion running in Pro Mod.
New Precision Turbo…
“We are extremely excited to be racing the Supra again” says owner Nero Deliwala. The Supra will be running in the Unlimited Class at TX2K11, and will be looking to once again put a few numbers in the record books.

Big thanks to RPM, State Of Stance, Simply Clean, and especially Universal Technical Institute (UTI) for putting on an awesome event. We hope to see everyone at the next one soon.
The stock engine bay looks pretty plain, and definitely isn’t geared towards a ton of performance. However tuning powerhouse HKS has come up with a solution for that.
Here you can see the CR-Z in stock form, with its restrictive intake track with stock filter.
Here we have installed the HKS Racing Suction Reloaded intake which utilizes HKS’ high-flowing wet 2-layer dual density polyurethane filter element. The intake kits offer the same simple and easy filter element replacement process as previous generations; avoiding the need to wash or re-oil the intake filter.
The new Super Honeycomb frame allows for 30% more intake surface area for improved throttle response. Additionally the filter assembly features a new streamline inner frame that reduces weight and allows for air to flow more smoothly into the engine.
Yep, thats exactly what they did in the July 1993 issue of Motor Trend Magazine. It was pretty neat to see how the Supra stacked up to some of the other “supercars” of the early 90’s. Check out the full article in the gallery below.
